The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Manzella Silkweight WindStopper Gloves - Women's:
Good gloves for riding around in the winter time in the Pacific Northwest (30-50 degrees). Could be a little warmer on the cold days, but they are certainly windproof and waterproof enough for rainy days.

I wasn't sure about these at first, but after using them on several runs and fast snowshoe hikes, I am really happy with the weight and fit. My hands definitely tend to get hot when I am moving quickly, so these are a perfect weight for me on 20-30 degree days, and the windstopper fabric is great. My hands are perfectly comfortable (or a little on the warm side) so I don't have to keep taking my gloves on and off to regulate temp. Plus they are snug enough so you can move your hands and manipulate objects naturally and easily.
That said, if you aren't providing your own heat, they definitely will NOT keep your hands warm (which they aren't meant to do). In New England winters, I wouldn't wear them for anything but outdoor aerobic activity.

Bought pair for myself and my wife. Worked great under Arctic mittens while snowmobiling in Montana. With mittens off, allowed dexterity and grip in -20F weather for a time. Not intended for warmth in severe cold.

this is the first pair of gloves that actually kept my hands warm while riding my bike. i only felt a slight bit of air getting through at the fingertips. i purchased a size small and i'm not sure of the intended fit for these gloves, but i have small hands with long fingers and there was still a little excess fabric overall.

i live in van. bc. canada , we walk every day, i like the glove as it is very stylish and feels good on my hands. the weather is not cold, and this glove is great for our climate ,they resist the wind ,though we get little and they are warm for our climate .the grip on the hand wears off ,but ui still love the look, it is not a heavy duty glove ,but then i was not looking for one.

I have used these gloves for many years. I agree with previous posts regarding durability: they don't last forever. But I use them multiple times weekly for cycling, hiking and cooler runs. I'm in southern Cal and never hike without them for the sun protection. They're excellent for long climbs on mountain or road bike rides for the same reason, plus they stay dry. I'll be very sad if Manzella ever stops making them.

Comments about Manzella Silkweight WindStopper Gloves - Women's:
I like these gloves because they keep the sun off my hands and have a good grip. Also, though I'm a man the women's medium fits me perfectly, so if you're willing to experiment the sizing is usually quite good. BUT...the gloves wear out too quickly. After a week or two of light duty the fingertips and seams show obvious wear and it just goes downhill from there. Why can't Manzella fix this problem and offer a glove that wears normally?

I've used these gloves for years and am about to replace another pair. I find that they do wear out but I also use them a lot and can be pretty rough on them to the point that the fingers start wearing through. I disagree with previous reviews that the fit snug. My only complaint with them is that they aren't snug enough. I have small hands and the small is even loose (my Black Diamond and OR small sizes fit perfectly). But I still highly recommend these gloves. The warmth to weight ratio can't be beat.

Comments about Manzella Silkweight WindStopper Gloves - Women's:
I used these gloves during a three day trip on Mount Washington this summer. They really did keep the wind out, and were the perfect weight/grip. However, within the first 30 minutes of using them, the seam along the thumb to the forefinger unraveled. All I was doing was using trekking poles - no rock scrambling, etc. Disappointing.

Very pleased with this purchase. I bought these gloves for a trip to Alaska in late May/early June. The weather was above freezing, but still quite cold because of the wind and rain/damp (especially around glaciers). I used these gloves when biking, canoeing and hiking, as well as on the ship deck for taking pictures with a compact camera (nimble enough to handle small buttons). The grip is good, and they were warm enough for the conditions. No bulk/very light to carry.
NOTE: the fit is very snug/tight. Suggest trying on before buying, or ordering the next size up.
