Comments about Therm-a-Rest Fitted Sheet:
My family of three (parents + 4year old) purchased three of these fitted sheets for our Thermarest pads before a bike camping trip. We were looking for something that would make the sleeping surface of our pads non-slippery and soft, allowing us to use our compact 20-degree mummy bags as comforters on top of our bodies during warm weather camping. These sheets worked perfectly for these purposes. In the past we've laid a flat bedsheet on top of our three pads to keep our sleeping bags from slipping around, but the bedsheet would bunch up and slide away, or the moist air here in Oregon would leave the cotton sheet feeling damp. This Thermarest fitted sheet is a bushed microfiber, so does not absorb moisture in the air like cotton, it is fitted to the pad so it doesn't slide around (including a buckled strap in the center of the sheet), and it's very lightweight and small to pack either into its own carry sack or crush into a compression bag with a sleeping bag. The fitted sheets also have snaps along every end so that multiple sheets can be snapped and secured together, along the long sides or the short ends. Our pads and bags stayed put and comfortable for a whole week-plus trip. The only reason I didn't give this product five stars is because the snaps along the sides are not reinforced well, and the fabric around the periphery of each snap seems slightly worn and frayed, after washing the sheets once and using them for just nine nights. This flaw does not diminish my appreciation of the product very much, because if the snap requires a minor repair, I'll fix it myself, and if it needs a major repair I'll contact customer service. Overall, this product is exactly what my family was looking for; we'd considered trying to fashion something similar on our own, but for this price point it was worth it to us to buy something ready-made that fit our pads perfectly and was made of non-absorbent microfiber. Awesome!
