Comments about Oboz Yellowstone Mid Hiking Boots - Women's:
I love these boots. I needed a new pair of waterPROOF boots to wear daily in my outdoor gardening profession where I muck through everything from slippery flagstone patios to knee-high forest duff. I've worn Merrills for years and do love them, but I went for Oboz this time on a friend's recommendation. I was really turned on that they plant a tree for every pair of shoes they sell. So I feel like I got a tree with my boots.
I've been wearing them daily in my garden coaching business where my shoes get a muddy, wet workout.
My Oboz don't slip. My feet stay warm and dry. I feel like I'm supported. And, the boots didn't break in my feet. They were good to go the day I first put them on.
Not only do I wear them gardening, but I like them for taking my dog for walks on sidewalks in the rain. Again, no slipping like I've found with some of my other outdoor shoes.
If you're looking for a tough boot that will hold up to rough weather and be comfortable in the everyday, these are the ones you want!
I can't wait to see what they'll do once we get into frozen weather!

Comments about Oboz Yellowstone Mid Hiking Boots - Women's:
I live in the Tetons and have had a difficult time with all brands of hiking shoe. Mostly bad blistering on the backs of my ankles. I tried these shoes on a whim last summer because I had tried everything else and nothing fit well for me. I took them out of the box and took them straight up a steep butte to test them out. They were the most comfortable shoes I've ever wore and I didn't have a single blister. I went to the store the next day and bought another pair!!! I really recomend them for steep climbs where heel lift and blistering are a concern!

I am out in the Nevada hills daily and was looking for a low to mid height boot with not too much mesh for wet conditions. These boots are perfect from the minute I put them on. Can't wait for more styles to come, as these folks know feet!

Comments about Oboz Yellowstone Mid Hiking Boots - Women's:
This boot is awesome. My first time using them, I hiked 30 miles in 2 1/2 days in Glacier National Park through snow, rain, and sunshine and didn't get a single blister. Other people in the group had sore feet and blisters, but I felt great.
Plus, the company has a great enviornmental policy and plants a tree for every pair of shoes sold.
I would highly recommend these boots for all types of adventure hiking. I plan to take mine to Nepal next month for a 17 day trek in the Himalayas.

I bought these boots to hike intermediate trails in the Canadian Rockies. I did not plan for time to break them in; luckily these boots did not need any break in time! I wore them to hike two mountains and I did not get one blister! They are also very supportive and comfortable. I have worn these boots on shorter day hikes as well. They are just perfect. I can't think of anything that I would change.

Comments about Oboz Yellowstone Mid Hiking Boots - Women's:
Bought this two weeks ago and wore it up for a day hike of Mt. Whitney. All that I did to break it in was wear for 1 short hike, around the city a little, and got it spot stretched over a pinky toe bunion.
I loved the stiff sole and somewhat rocker bottom. With the lacing system I was able to really lock my heel and midfoot into the shoe and have plenty of room in the toes. The shoe has good lateral rigidity and a stiff forefoot: it made walking on sharp rocks and hopping from one boulder to another so much easier on my feet than other shoes I've worn in the past! Also walked through many puddles and across some small streams and the shoes didn't let in any water.
I have a hard time finding shoes that work well for me because I have fallen arches, low volume feet, severe pronation, and super flexible ankles that sprain easily. I tried on at least 6 in the store before finding these and I was wowed. I never knew a hiking boot could cradle my foot so well. Like the pink/red color accents too.
These boots keep your feet very warm, and I sweat a fair amount in them. But that's to be expected with waterproof leather shoes, so a change of socks midway though solved the problem. Also I normally wear an 8 but an 8.5 in this fit best.

Comments about Oboz Yellowstone Mid Hiking Boots - Women's:
No real negative because it did not fit me. I normally wear an 8.5 or a 9. I ordered both and may reorder a 9.5 and a 10 to try out. The only thing stopping me is the shoes is narrow, especially towards the toe area. I would need to wear a regular tube sock if I kept the boots. So sadly, I need to look for another pair where I can wear at least a mid weight hiking socks, otherwise I think it would be a great pair of boots for comfort and its weight.
Service and delivery comments:
Fantastic service delivery, I'm out in the middle east.

I bought these shoes for my trip to Moab this year. I hiked and had to do some light climbing into caves and over rocks in them as well. My feet run narrow (A) and I'm naturally a 7.5 so I didn't want to go any bigger because I was afraid they would feel too lose. I ended up exchanging them for a half size bigger because my toes kept jamming into the front and had to cut my toe nails to the bare minimum. I tried on several pairs of sz. 8 and found one that fit snugly around my ankles and have been happy ever since. Great shoe; the traction feels solid.

Comments about Oboz Yellowstone Mid Hiking Boots - Women's:
These are my standard hiking boot now and I love them. I took them on a 17 mile hike without issue. These boots accomodate wider feet easily with zero discomfort. I've had no issues with bruising toe nails on prolonged steep descents.
These shoes are sturdy and have fantastic traction. They offer excellent support but are also very flexible.
I hike in the foothills, canyons, and mountains of the Rocky Mountains. These are an excellent boot for all outdoor terrains. I don't know that I'd consider these for "everyday use" and they are heavier than your normal non-hiking boot.
