  • Auto-deploy kickstand extends and retracts smoothly thanks to internal spring-loaded system (no bungees)
  • Five-point, adjustable harness system is anchored directly to frame and features an easy-to-use central tensioning system similar to car seats
  • Curved, molded foam shoulder harness with sternum strap and padded hipbelt evenly distribute load
  • Mesh backpanel with sliding torso-length adjustment allows easy fitting changes between short and tall parents
  • Cockpit offers a reclining position, allowing child to sit naturally and comfortably
  • Double-hook seat height adjusts quickly and easily
  • Under-seat storage compartment accommodates toys, snacks and a change of clothes
  • Carrier also features hipbelt storage pockets and toy loop attachment points
  • 3M reflective tape accents provide 360° of visibility
  • Manufacturer recommends a maximum weight limit of 50 lbs. for child and gear

    Good construction, very comforable for both the child and the parent. Child's weight is carried a little further back than I would like but its not difficult to get used to. When trying this out in the store, my daughter got angry when I took her out of it. Thats when I knew I had the right child carrier.

      This is a great pack. It fits both my wife and I (she's 5'1'') comfortably and the baby loves to sit in it. It's very easy to get the kiddo into and out of it and she just relaxes the whole time we're out and about.

        Comments about Kelty FC 1.0 Child Carrier:

        My huband and I both use this product. One of the best things about this product is that it is easily adjustable. Our son is 22 months old and loves this carrier. We used it today at the zoo and he had more fun because he was able to see the animals (as opposed to a stroller). The first day we had it, we tried it out at a near by park for a hike. Our son thought he was "hot stuff" with his sippy cup in hand and enjoying the ride. We have not discovered a bad thing about it. The large storage compartment underneath the seat can hold all of your necessities. We are going to Colorado this fall and plan to do a lot of hiking. I know we will appreciate it in the mountains and walking in the city.

          Great Pack. My Daughter falls asleep in it by the end of every hike. I tried on the kelty FC 3.0 and did notice that it hugged your back better than this one, but I'm not planning on going on long day/overnight hikes. This one is perfect for a good 3 hour hike. It is so easy to get my daughter in and out of it, and also so easy to switch who is carrying her, between my husband and myself.
