Comments about Penguin Sport-Wash - 20 oz.:
This was the answer to my prayers. I have an issue with body odor related to my lymph nodes draining. I know, too much information, but I have been looking for a clothing deodorizer for years. I put a little of the Sport Wash directly on the affected areas, sometimes rubbing it in, and the odor gets washed away. I do this method using either Sport Wash as the main detergent or another detergent. (Using it as the main detergent, I use more than suggested--that seems to give me better results.)
A bonus of this scent-free Sport Wash is that you don't need to use fabric softeners. I even use it on fine washables. Yes, it is expensive. But totally worth it for me.

I've been using this product now for 5 years. It was actually recommended to me by guy selling me clothes at REI...& since clothing is expensive there, he said to use a capful of this stuff & I should be good to go. It is Great Stuff!! Since using the Sport Wash on clothes I purchased from REI, they have never looked better (even the ones I purchased 5 years ago) & have never smelled better also. It does take the 'funk' out & the clothes I use it on have never felt cleaner. It really is great stuff.

Comments about Penguin Sport-Wash - 20 oz.:
I have been desperately seeking a wash to remove the lingering odor from my sports bras and shirts. I was ready to throw several items out when I found Penguin. One wash and the odor was gone. And the odor didn't sneak back up on me after wearing the items for a while (you know what I mean). I think the clothes even looked brighter. At first I didn't want to fork out [$] on the chance it would work. But it saved several $30+ UV tech shirts and expensive sports bras, so it was worth every penny.

I've been using this stuff for a couple of years now and I really like it. I use it on gym clothes, hiking and camping wear & gear, rain and snow gear, and more. It cleans well and deodorizes too. And it doesn't wash out waterproofing on my shells and fleece clothes.
It's the best priced stuff for the quantity. Leaves no residue or lingering smell. So, why use anything else?

I use this product to wash all of my dri-fit sportswear: socks, shirts, shorts, and underwear. It gets the Body Odor out of the performance fabrics that normal detergent can not. On the negative side this wash does have a distinct odor. It is not scented as the label says but it has an unpleasant odor that you can smell faintly on your gear after it dries. It works great but the unpleasant scent of the detergent is why I can only give it a 4/5.

Penguin Sport Wash delivers as advertised[...].
Service and delivery comments:
Don't purchase Penguin Sport Wash mail-order. Packers do not know how to safely package this product. I ordered a bottle, along with a cycling jersey. The Postal Service managed to smash the box and break the seal on the bottle. Half the contents leaked out all over the jersey, even though the detergent bottle was in a plastic bag. Customer service was gracious enough to promptly send me a new bottle free of charge, and discounted the jersey 20% for damages (the detergent washed out just fine and the jersey is undamaged). I asked the service rep to warn the shipping people about their shoddy packaging, but the replacement bottle was packed no better than the first. Luckily this time the Postal service got the package to me without damage.

Not exactly sure how it works...but it does. I was skeptical about this sport wash at first, but after about 6 treatments, all of my tech clothing was oder free. And it actually seems to restore the 'sheen' to tech clothing. I'm sold.

Comments about Penguin Sport-Wash - 20 oz.:
I use Penguin Sport Wash for all my marine foul weather clothing (sailboat racer) and after using products like NikWax and Granger, Penguin by far is the best value and performance. One capful is all you need and the bottle is good for about 18 washings. Compare that to NikWax!
NikWax is expensive per use and it's protective washing doesn't last long. Granger was a little better and a little better.
Why REI continues to carry NikWax is beyond me. Now, I'm looking for Penguin's Permanent Water Guard which I'm having trouble finding ...

No other laundry detergent removes odors so well. Product itself is unscented, no masking odors, cleans them right out. I wish it was sold by the gallon. A small washer load requires only a capful.

I have used many washes/cleaners on my dirty/smelly running/biking/snowboarding clothes and the one that works the very best is Penguin Wash! It is cost effective, great on dirt and most of all at eliminating odor. (Even on the older Polypro clothing)I endorse this product 100%!
