Comments about Marmot Angel Fire +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
This is a GREAT bag! I have been hiking for about 10 years now and for a long time was able to get away with a 2 season synthetic bag and lots of layers. Last year I invested in this bag and couldn't be more happy! I've been camping with it in 30 degree weather and just got back from a hike to base camp Mount Everest. It was lightweight, warm, and the small pocket is perfect for your headlamp. Though I stayed in guest houses, my boyfriend who also has a down bag with 650 fill requested blankets, whereas I slept with the zipper open every night till we got to 16,000 feet. This bag has been perfect so far!

Comments about Marmot Angel Fire +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
First, some background info: I used this bag for a week of camping in August at 9,000 ft. in Colorado. I was in a tent with a foam pad plus a 1" thermarest, and outside temperatures were in the low 40's. I wore very lightweight summer pajamas to keep the bag clean. This bag was really, really hot, even when fully unzipped. It was even too hot when I used it as a quilt. I was so hot that I couldn't sleep very well.
This bag seems very well made, and I appreciated the roominess inside. I had hoped to use this bag for spring, summer, and fall camping, but I have decided it is too warm for most summer camping. I do not want to use it if overnight temps will be above 40 degrees.

Comments about Marmot Angel Fire +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
I've only used it once but already can't wait to use it again! Temperatures never dropped below 50 degrees Fahrenheit but I'm a cold sleeper and anything below 60 gets me shivering. But I was toasty warm in this bag all night -- even in my skivvies! I almost got the Pinnacle but figured I could do without the extra loft for the price and I was right; the loft on this bag is right on, keeping me comfy even without a sleeping mat.
Excellent bag for the price!

Comments about Marmot Angel Fire +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
Last summer the bag was new (after returning an REI bag that was nowhere near its temp rating) and I slept well during 27 degree nights (wearing thermals); however, after just one year, my Angel Fire seems to be losing its ability to keep me warm!
I just spent a week in Humphreys Basin where we saw consistent nighttime lows of 35-38. I wore only socks, undies, and camisole the first night and was awake with goosebumps on my legs on/off throughout the night. The next night I put on a long-sleeved thermal and was still cold and awake on/off. As the week wore on, I gradually added more and more clothing. By the 2nd to last night I was toasty in my bag - wearing wool socks, hat, thermal bottoms, ExOfficio camisole, long-sleeved ultra thin Icebreaker wool top, and long-sleeved light Patagonia capeline.
Care: I store my bag in its cotton sack on a high shelf (nothing on top of it or pressing at the sides), in my linen closet. I also air out my bag in the sun (if there is sun) every morning after I've slept in it! I've washed it once according to directions, and dried it forever with tennis balls. Other than that wash and condensation/sweat, it has never been wet. Have I done something wrong?

I am so happy with my purchase. This sleeping bag is so cozy and warm, I was sweating at 30F. It's lightweight, very convenient, great zipper, and I like the women's specific fit. I haven't taken it backpacking yet, but I hope to soon.

Comments about Marmot Angel Fire +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
I have used this sleeping bag a half dozen times. It's a well-made bag and I keep trying to like it, but it's just too danged hot! I always have it unzipped all the way and I don't wear anything to sleep in, and still I roast in this even when the temps get in the 30s and the rain fly on our Half Dome is unzipped and thrown back. If you get cold, this is the bag for you. But I can't sleep when I'm swimming in sweat, and it's no fun to be fanning the top all night long to try to cool off.

Comments about Marmot Angel Fire +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
I bought this sleeping bag in spring 2008. I used it every night during summer 2008 & 2009 backpacking in the Sierras. I never got cold and it was always fluffy and comfortable. I've only washed it twice, once at the end of each summer and it has never smelled or gotten very dirty.
I took it on a trip around the southwest in March 2010 with snow and frost still on the ground and I was a bit chilly, but not so uncomfortable that I couldn't sleep. My friends were freezing their butts off. That trip I also drunkenly put my feet in the fire with it and gauged a huge hole reulting in down spewing everywhere. I thought for sure I'd lost too much down to be warm, but I patched it up as soon as possible with a wad of duct tape and was just as warm for the next several nights sleeping in snow and morning frost. I love this thing!

I love this bag. I bought it 2 years ago and I haven't thought twice about it. I love to go backpacking, and I love the weight of this bag. I use it packing, camping, and anything else I need it for. I need a warm bag and I have never been cold in this one. The fit is great and I love the padding in the feet, it is just perfect! Over all if you want a great bag choose this one.

I bought this bag a couple years ago and have loved it from the start. It pack down small, is lightweight, and appropriately priced.
I've used this bag in night down into the 20's and never even noticed the weather. Definitely a great product.

Comments about Marmot Angel Fire +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
as for all the features this bag is good. but if you are looking at different bags for the price and think this one will last you 5-10 years, i am doubting it. the bag consistently leaks down. i wake up and have quite a few duck feathers stuck on my liner. the only sad thing is that i did not buy it from REI otherwise i would return it. i feel by 3 years the loft will have decreased by 1/2. there are better bags out there for the price. unfortunately, as the bag does compress well.
