Comments about Gramicci Original G Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
Just like the ol' Gramicci pants that I'm used to wearing. Super soft canvas. Very relax fit. It's like a pair of scrub pants. Put it on. Cinch it. And, go...but, wait!!! The material of the belt strap is just way too smooth, so the belt doesn't wanna stay tighten. A minute after I put this pants on, I find it around my ankles. Better luck next time!
Comments about Gramicci Original G Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
There is nothing wrong with these pants, except they are not the original pants, at least those that were sold about 3 years ago. The original pants have a slightly tapered leg, and at least for me, they fit great. These pants have a straight leg and hence feel very "flappy" around the ankle. If you like that, great. If you are expecting the original pants, these they are not.

Comments about Gramicci Original G Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
I've been wearing "Original G" Grammicci's since long before they were called "Originals" and own more than twenty pair of shorts and long pants. They are the most comfortable pants money can buy and look better the longer you wear them (no dryer please). My wife's been buying them too.
The new generation share the attributes of good cloth, good fit, looks great. But unlike the rugged cinched belt of the first generation, the latest offerings from Gramicci have a flimsy, slippery cinch belt. I wore my new shorts ONCE and the cinch came apart and ripped through (I am 6' tall, 180 lbs, w/ a 33" waist). NONE of the others will stay up because the belt will not cinch: it's too thin, too low-grade, too slippery. I now own six pair of "next generation" Gramiccis, which I ordered in one bunch, being confident of past performance. I can't wear any of them without them constantly falling down.
Unless Gramicci replaces these belts, head for Mountain Hardware or some other quality vendor. These aren't worth it at ANY price.

Comments about Gramicci Original G Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
I became a fan of the first Gramicci pants about 16 years ago when they only made one style of pants, in one color. Brown. They were comfortable, soft, moved well with me and looked good. In the mid 90s, one guy came up to me in a mall with his wife and asked what was the brand of the pants and where could he buy them. Sure the originals were a bit tight around the ankles making pulling them over boots a bit tougher, but they did go over them, and they stayed there, and looked sharp. The pants they sell now seem like clown pants in comparison. Big, floppy and heavy. Around 10 years ago when Gramicci sold white pants in the original style cut, those seemed to shrink quickly. For some reason the original browns were the best. It seems when a company is new and sells something that clicks with its customers they find the need to expand and sell a lot of things that aren't as good as the original product they sold when they were a smaller company. Ex Officio was a similar situation around 20 years ago when they sold that one style of adventure pants. I was lucky I recognized a good thing when I wore it, and bought multiple pairs of the REAL original Gramiccis. And I still have some of them, and still love 'em!

Comments about Gramicci Original G Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
The original design of this pant was changed for the worse. The original fit better and looked better. The "New and Improved" straight leg with second back pocket made the pant floppy and ordinary. The tapered leg was more stylish and unique. There is also an inconsistancy in the belt in both length and material. Some belts are too short to expand the waist to fit the pant over the hips. Why did you screw with a good thing? Sometimes a supposed improvement is detrimental to an outstanding product. You downgraded a great pant and relegated it to mediocrity. Follow the lead of Coke and bring back the original.

Comments about Gramicci Original G Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
I've been wearing G Pants and G Shorts for years. My recent buys have been as good or better fabric and make than my old ones. I had a problem with the belt on one of the pants I bought. Gramicci was straight up about one of their factories randomly using a lighter weight belt without their knowledge. They said it got mixed into their stock, but they made it right and replaced the pant immediately. Coolest customer service ever! It's good to see a company that is honest and stands behind their product.

Comments about Gramicci Original G Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
These pants are classic! They're perfect to size and offer great maneuverability while climbing or just sitting cross legged in the park. I've had these for almost 5 years and I'm still wearing them! They've been rock climbing all over, and have sat in uncountable camping sites. Since they aren't some hi-tech material, they are much better for the everyday activities. I don't take 'em on long backpacking trips, rather they come on cragging sessions and sit next to campfires.
The material these are made of are above and beyond others. The stitching has lasted for years and I have not worn a hole in these (almost there though) even though they have scratched up against numerous granite routes and sand stone towers.
Amazing pants... I need another pair...

Comments about Gramicci Original G Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
Before I bought these pants, I was concerned about some of the reviewers comments regarding the belt slipping and not holding up the pants. I had a similar problem with a pair of Grammici shorts I bought a year or so ago. However I went ahead and bought several pairs of these pants in Nov, 09 and am happy with their construction - the cloth is fairly heavy, the stiching looks good and there is no issue with the belt slipping. Yes, the styling has changed from old but these are still some of the most comfortable pants I have owned...

Comments about Gramicci Original G Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
The straps are poor quality. Why do company's have to take a perfectly good thing and "modify" it? Strap comes a part and does not hold on the waist because the material is too slippery. Very bummed, won't be buying gramiccis until this problem is fixed.

Comments about Gramicci Original G Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
I used to wear these Gramicci pants a lot, I mean a lot. As other reviewers noted, these pants have changed; they're a lot, lot worse. I do wear them around the yard, but that's 'cause I bought them, so I better wear them. The belt material is so slippery, the belt won't hold your pants up (you better get them nice & tight). Also, the elastic material broke in them, so wearing these things is like wearing a sack with a string. I paid[$]for this? I'm ashamed of myself.
