I use these for walking and the gym, and they are incredibly comfortable and supportive. I normally wear a 7.5 in workout shoes, but due to the wide shoebox, the 7 fits me fine. I like the sunny yellow and powder blue, though the colors do grow a bit dirty with use. The laces are fabulous!

I used these when I went abroad to China and Scotland when I was hiking. The shoes are breathable... but they were also no good in wet conditions. Even if it was just raining lightly, the moisture would go straight through to my socks.
My Salomons were some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, and the laces were definitely a plus; you never worried about them coming undone, and you could just tuck them into the little pouch in the top of the shoe's tongue.
Nevertheless, I would not recommend them because they did not last more than 3 months of daily street use before getting holes in the mesh on top by the big toe and pinky toe joints. This applied to both shoes of my first pair and the second pair I bought to replace them. I am going to get another pair of shoes that will hopefully last longer.

I have owned a similar pair of XA salomon's for about a year. They are very comfortable, light, and breathable. They have good cushioning but do not offer much support on the sides for heavy hiking or running. I would recommend these for summer walking shoes or occasional jogging/light hiking. They lasted about a year of moderate use including 2-4 mile sidewalk runs before the lace broke and is very hard to rethread. I have sturdier shoes for trail running. While the lace is convienent it wears in several places over time and is too long the top and flops around unless you tuck it into your shoe.

These are so comfortable and light weight. The lacing system makes it fast and easy to get in and out of these. Plus, you never get untied laces to get in your way. Hiked & jogged a sandy trail in these today where i had slipped before in my other shoes and the traction in these is amazing. I almost always wear 7.5, but i think i could have worn 7 in these. that's my only tiny complaint.
