These women's Fox mountain bike shorts have what it takes for a variety of riding adventures, from quick rides in the park to all day on the trail.

I thought I'd write my own review to balance out the negative opinion previous reviewer has expressed. Simply put, this is the best MTB shorts out there for women for this price range. There are other freeride shorts out there that cost at least twice as much as this pair, but the Fox Sierra is the most affordable. It's got great length, so they still cover a decent amount of legs when sitting on saddle. I never encountered any problem w/ liner riding up as previous reviewer. The chamois liner is very comfortable, providing enough padding while doesn't make you look like you're wearing a diaper. The waist is superbly sized! You do need to get the correct size, but once that's figured out, you can use the velcro to fine-tune. Finally best of all, the back waist is slightly higher than front. While it's high enough to cover your backside when you are sitting, the fit on the front is still a low-rider style that doesn't make you feel that you're wearing your grandma's shorts. So all in all, my favorite pair of shorts, in fact, I've got at least 2 pairs. To help people decide on sizing, I'm 5'6", 110 LB, and I wear size small.

I bought these on-line using Fox's sizing chart. I'm usually a size M or size 8 or 10. The chart states size 8-10 is size Large. When they arrived they felt more like size 12 and the waist was way too big. They can be adjusted at the waist but they ended up getting all bunched up in the back.
Pro's: Super cute short with nice details and a great longer length for extra leg coverage.
Con's: I was hoping the liner would fit more like a regular pair of comfortable lycra bike shorts but it was very short and tight around the thighs for my taste.

These are my first bike shorts ever, and I bought them with the understanding that because my body isn't perfect (not even close), I would never be happy with any bike shorts. I'm working on getting a smaller size, but for now these shorts are just fine. I wish the waist band was more comfortable but again, that might just be me. I didn't want anything too tight and so got stuck with these patterned shorts (not my style, either!) but again, these are serviceable, relatively comfortable, and not ugly. The padding is great, and definitely prevents a sore tush.
