Comments about REI Camp Roll Table:
Packs and carries easily, sets up quick. Perfect for 2 or 3 people to use for light meal and drink. I wouldn't put a gas stove on it. There is a tradeoff for all of that lightweight portability.

Comments about REI Camp Roll Table:
I bought this for lunchtime tailgating at Alpental. I just got it home and set it up in about 1 minute. It's very intuitive to do and not an issue as another reviewer complained, it's also plenty sturdy enough to hold my stove. Enjoy!

Comments about REI Camp Roll Table:
The table slats are held together by a thin bungee cord. When it wears out and breaks, the table is useless. One could try to replace the bungee cords, but it would be a tough job to lace it through the holes in the slats and each spacer. I now have to duct tape it together to even use it.
Too fragile, poor design!

Comments about REI Camp Roll Table:
Great table. Meets my needs well. Given the style, there's certain things that come along such as the way it is set up and the fact that it's tough to truly sit underneath because of the structure.
It has been effective and has no problems.
My one complaint is that the crucial fittings that are subject to stress when setting up (the ones that hold the legs and extenders) are all plastic. I've not had trouble and frankly nearly everything is plastic today anyways... but the rest of the structure of the table is metal, so would it be too unreasonable for metal fittings?

Comments about REI Camp Roll Table:
Great Table for what it is. I use it for my grill and to prep food outside. It is not an overly expensive table and could probably be built a little better. At the price-point its a value.

Comments about REI Camp Roll Table:
I bought this table primarily for airplane camping, but I've also used it for picnicking and car camping. It is sturdy, folds compactly (very necessary for airplane camping), and easy to clean. I use it as my "kitchen", so I have my stove, dishes, pots & pans, coffee pots, etc., on it. I can easily move it without taking anything off the top, into the vestibule of my tent. It has been blown over by propeller wash from other airplanes, without any damage. If it were to be damaged, I'd get another one.

Comments about REI Camp Roll Table:
Nice when it works, but it does take rough handling very well. The key connectors are made of cheap plastic and are easily snapped off.

Comments about REI Camp Roll Table:
If you like to camp where there are no picnic tables to cook on or would like to have a table where you want it,this is for you. It takes about 2 minutes to set it up and pack it up. It's very sturdy. You can pick it up when assembled. It's metal and cleans up with a damp towel and camp soap.
I take it car camping because I like to go where others don't. I set up this table close to my vehicle so I don't have to carry the cook stove and food far from the car if I don't want.
When we go places with friends and want to stop for lunch, we take out the table so people can lay out their food / prepare their sandwiches, etc. without having to balance plates on laps, bend over logs, etc.
It weighs a lot but packs down relatively small. It has a nice carrying handle so you can carry it aways with no problems.
This is one of the most useful parts of our car camping repertoire.

Comments about REI Camp Roll Table:
Compact, lightweight, fairly robust, sturdy and very easy to set up and dismantle.
Frame is standard expanding system seen on most folding chairs. Top consists of aluminum slats joined by elastic. Slots easily onto 2 support rods that snap onto frame.
Ignore comments regarding clean up. Any one with half a brain will concertina fold the table top to wipe down the sides of the slats should they get messy from spills.
This table is about cafe table size, comfortable to cook on or to seat 2 persons. We did not experience the issue of not fitting our legs under the table as mentioned by other reviewers, but then we are, like the table, of compact proportions.
