Comments about REI Camp Chair:
After debating between the mesh chairs and these chairs I recently bought two of these on sale. I ended up choosing these over the mesh because I have two rowdy kids and in my opinion these felt a little more durable. Of course because the price is higher than other models on the market elsewhere I wanted to compare so I checked out many in person. I went to all of the big box stores and there is reason their chairs cost less, they are no where near the quality of these REI chairs.
They are easy to set up. Just pull them out of the bags and spread them out, easy as can be. My 4 year old enjoys doing it herself. They fold up just as easily. My only gripe is that the strap on the storage bag comes undone frequently. Not too big of a deal since these are mostly used for car camping. If I had to walk any distance with these that might be annoying, but I will probably just pin the strap below the buckle to keep it from happening.
A note about the colors pictured online. After reading the other review about the green color not being the same as the picture I looked at these chairs on our other two computers because my monitor is starting to give out on me. On every computer the green does appear to be bright and the copper appears to be almost a bright red. In real life the green is more muted, almost an army green, but still very nice. The copper color is more orange, not red like it looks online. It is closer to the color shown on REI's comfort recliner or LTG chair.

Comments about REI Camp Chair:
The chair was heavier and bulkier than I anticipated. I ordered the shamrock/ pewter combo and, in real life, the color is nothing like the one pictured. Instead of a bright cheery green and silver grey, it is a dark camouflage green/ dk grey. I'm very disapointed and will be returning the chair.

Comments about REI Camp Chair:
I bought two of these chairs in the copper/pewter color. I absolutely love these chairs!! They are easy to set up, very comfortable and a great value for the price. The cup holder is cool because the shape of the hole is bigger on one end and smaller on the other. This makes it easy to hold just about anything. I use these chairs for watching my husband play softball and for camping. Perfect for around the campfire!

Comments about REI Camp Chair:
I originally purchased this chair because we had a cheaper inferior chair (not REI) that failed on us and I was going camping. After many camping trips and too many soccer games to list, we need another chair and there was no question which one to purchase. I am only giving it 4 stars because I am not fond of the color selections (army green or copper). For me the copper is the less offensive color.

Comments about REI Camp Chair:
This chair would have been perfect but I found that the seat is a bit narrow at the front making it uncomfortable for long sittings. I'm of average build but I agree with the one reviewer that it does tend to cut off leg circulation at the thighs. The black plastic things that holds the chair frame to the seat on either end tends to bite into your legs after awhile. Unless you tend to sit cross legged this is a bit of a problem. If REI would make the front of the seat just a bit wider I think it would work out better.

The adjustable cupholder is unique and helpful. Overall more comfortable and lighter than my Eddie Bauer chair. Good for car camping and general recreation.

Comments about REI Camp Chair:
I've been looking for the perfect camping chair for awhile. I finally walked in to an REI and spotted this one. I love the green color and the best part of this chair is the cup holder. It not only holds my large camelbak better bottle but my camera and cellphone as well. LOVE IT!!
