Comments about Lafuma GR Junior +35 Sleeping Bag - '07 Closeout:
Beware, the fit specs listed (see comment below) by REI say that this bag will fit a person to 5' 7" and 50" in girth. The bag is 5' 7" (67") by 27" in ACTUAL length and width (as listed on the bag's tag). This means that my 5' 0" son is the tallest a child can be and still fit this bag, and my 5' 3" daughter is way too tall. Also, a 27" width means that the usable girth will be less than 50", but a 5' child won't need this much girth anyway.
I can't comment on anything else, since I've had the bag out of the box for only 20 minutes. But I'll keep one bag for my son for this year, and look for another for my daughter. But I'll be careful about size ratings...
BTW, read other reviews on Lafuma bags where people are finding the bags are too short - or more likely REI has mistaken Lafuma's actual size for the rated height of the sleeper.

This is a great buy for the quality and comfort that it delivers. My son loves it and we used it for camping in the spring and summer. It appears to be comfortable even when temp is in the 60s. Dries fast after washing. The only problem is packing it into the small pouch that came with it. Takes an adult and a lot of pressing to get it in. The positive is that it is very compact.

I bought this for my 10 year old and it's been a good purchase. The bag is lightweight and plenty warm for late spring and summer campouts.

We bought this sleeping bag for our toddler, to take with us on our car camping trip later this year. It's the right weight and size for her, and we know we will get many good years out of it.
There was a small tear in one of the seams, but it was small enough that I was able to sew it back up myself.
Can't beat the price.

This is a great deal for a quality kids sleeping bag. It's light, well built and stuffs up small. My 4 year old son used it twice in the Sierras in the summer. Once he was sleeping outside without a tent. He was fine (he's a very warm sleeper), but I think I'd have been cold in this bag. I ended up getting him a 20 degree bag for summer mountain trips. If you are camping at lower elevations in the warmer months, it's great.
