Comments about Pearl Izumi X-Alp Seek Bike Shoes - Women's:
These are great for spinning class because they are well ventilated. Also great for quick rides to the grocery store on a sunny day, because you can comfortably walk around it them. The description says something about being able to run in them. I have tried this and while technically true, I wouldn't make this a practice because it would be pretty tough on your joints, but I would never expect a bike shoe to work for running. Dirt shows easily on the shoes as soon as you take them out in the rain or mudd. A very decent entry level shoe.

Comments about Pearl Izumi X-Alp Seek Bike Shoes - Women's:
I tried different shoes to use in spin class, these where by far the most comfortable. It feels like a normal shoe!! It's stable and super-easy to use, I would definately buy it again.

Comments about Pearl Izumi X-Alp Seek Bike Shoes - Women's:
I bought these because I have had good luck with PI running shoes (I did a 28-mile one-day hike from White Pass to Chinook Pass near Mt Rainier in a pair and they were great). I have this exact same shoe in the running version, so chose this one for my bike shoes and have not been disappointed. I would like the running shoes to be a touch longer, but not with the biking shoes. They are great and true to size. I am a 9-1/2 in bare-foot shoes and a 10 in winter sock shoes, and the 10 fits great with a medium or light weight sock. I wouldn't try to run in them, but they are very easy to walk in. They have a stiff insole in order to make your pedaling more efficient, so they don't flex like running shoes. That's better for biking, but not for running. Some PI shoes have the insole removable, but not these. The insole is attached to the shoe and doesn't come out. They also have a little elastic to hold the laces down so they don't come loose and catch in the chain. If you're looking for a good starter pair of bike shoes for long or short rides I recommend them without hesitation.

Comments about Pearl Izumi X-Alp Seek Bike Shoes - Women's:
These shoes are great for spinning, and are great for clipping into the spin bike pedals. I can even wear them over to the weight room before or after class with no problem. I would never run in these shoes.

Comments about Pearl Izumi X-Alp Seek Bike Shoes - Women's:
I use this shoe to ride on a combination of dirt and paved roads. After about a hour of riding, my feet begin to go numb. I have not had this problem with any of my other biking shoes (road or mountain). I expected the shoe to be well ventilated, but my feet get very hot. They are comfortable for walking though.
