Comments about Tectron Sno-Seal Waterproofing:
I applied Sno-Seal to bags that are made of unfinished, full grain, cowhide leather. All the benefits that others have mentioned for boots are also available for a bag, assuming it's the type of leather I described above. I can't vouch for other leather types, but I'm sure Sno-Seal works on any leather than can absorb the beeswax (e.g., patent leather does not absorb).
The Sno-Seal darkened my leather bags. The new color is actually a welcomed change for my taste. The bags now look more masculine, and I prefer darker leather. With this Sno-Seal, I have finally completed the formula for obtaining the exact type of leather that is most desirable to me. It was a mystery for years.

Comments about Tectron Sno-Seal Waterproofing:
Tried the Nikwax for leather on my nice Italian boots (Zamberlans), but it wasn't stopping water from soaking in. This Sno-Seal stuff seems different. I cleaned the boots and let them warm up over a heater duct. I then cooked a section of boot with a hair dryer (low and hot) and then with two fingers just started working the product in. It was about as hot as I could stand it, but you could see the stuff working right in. It's messy and a lot of work, but water just beads off. I wiped off the excess with a old t-shirt. Make sure you cake it into every crevise.
The leather did get a shade darker, but I don't care. With Seattle weather the way it is, I sure hope this keeps my sock from getting wet.

Comments about Tectron Sno-Seal Waterproofing:
I use this product on my work boots as well as my hiking boots.
I bought my first jar of Sno-Seal back in the 90's when I lived/hiked in the Marin/Sonoma/Mendocino region. Anyone who has lived in the Bay Area can tell you it gets pretty wet. This stuff worked like magic then, and still works like magic today. I've had this last pair of boots for 9 years and the leather looks like they haven't been outside more than a few times. I would still be wearing them if I hadn't broken my foot and needed to buy a wider pair after I healed.
I apply the seal twice a year, although once a year would probably be enough. It definitely changes the color of the leather, so be careful about applying it to dress shoes or any shoe you bought it for vanity and not necessity.

Comments about Tectron Sno-Seal Waterproofing:
I have tried many leather treatments over the past three decades, and none holds a candle to Sno-Seal. Whether you are using it on hiking boots or on leather motorcycle jackets subjected to 60 mph rides through rain, Sno-Seal is the best. Three things make this a superlative product. First, it waterproofs leather. Second, it allows the leather to breathe even though waterproof. Third, it's long lasting. I usually apply it once a year to boots, but sometimes two or three times if I subject them to really heavy use. Use it also on leather gloves, leather jackets, etc.
For boots Sno-Seal treated leather breathes far better than Gore-Tex lined boots, and consequently this makes the boots much cooler in the summer. I never buy Gore-tex or similar boots for year-round use anymore because they are so much hotter than leather boots treated with Sno-Seal, and Gore-tex offers no additional performance. Sno-Seal is one of the few outdoor products that I would unequivocally recommend to everyone who plans to spend time in the outdoors.

Comments about Tectron Sno-Seal Waterproofing:
This is the only product I know of which will keep leather dry in really wet conditions, like melting snow and mud. It's a pain to apply (must be warm enough to liquify to soak into the leather), works by clogging up the pores of the leather, but works well and lasts too. It may complicate resoling - leather full of Sno Seal isn't going to be bonded by any adhesive, but this is by far the best waterproofing and preservative for leather in really sloppy conditions.

Comments about Tectron Sno-Seal Waterproofing:
Simply put, this stuff works great. It is easy to apply, keeps your boots in nice shape and most importantly keeps your toes dry.
Its not just for snow though, its great for backpacking or hiking the rest of the year when crossing streams or other wet days.
I treat my boots once a year with Sno Seal and have for as long as I can remember.

Comments about Tectron Sno-Seal Waterproofing:
I own a pair of Asolo 200 GTX boots, and the good folks at REI recommended this stuff. For anyone with Asolo boots, you know that toe scuffing on rock/scree is a problem. My boots are black, and the scuffed area turns rough and grey, then draws in water when hiking in the snow on a mild weather day. Although using a hair dryer and destroying a rag to rub this stuff in is a bit of work, it turned by boots shiny new black, literally beautiful. Next day on Rainier the snow seemed to be repelled from them like magic (no more sticking to the scuffed parts).
I love this product and first used it on the entire boot when they were one year old. Now I reapply it regularly to just the toe area before a hike in the snow. Also good for maintaining the leather. Be sure to completely clean the boots before applying! Discoloration may be an issue - I don't know since mine are black. Even if they weren't I don't think I'd care, just apply it everywhere.

Comments about Tectron Sno-Seal Waterproofing:
I use a pair of latex gloves to apply to a very well cleaned and 90% dry pair of leather boots that have been in the Florida sun for a cople of hours.I also employ a hair dry blower on low heat to help work in the bees wax compound. I have a pair of boots that are over 40 years old (LL Bean rubber pacs) made with Elk hide that this product has preserved and proteceted for lo these many years. i also use on my s everal pair of leather Vasque boots, both lined and non lined types, and the product works well.
