Comments about Tectron Sno-Seal Waterproofing:
I use a pair of latex gloves to apply to a very well cleaned and 90% dry pair of leather boots that have been in the Florida sun for a cople of hours.I also employ a hair dry blower on low heat to help work in the bees wax compound. I have a pair of boots that are over 40 years old (LL Bean rubber pacs) made with Elk hide that this product has preserved and proteceted for lo these many years. i also use on my s everal pair of leather Vasque boots, both lined and non lined types, and the product works well.

Comments about Tectron Sno-Seal Waterproofing:
I own a pair of Asolo 200 GTX boots, and the good folks at REI recommended this stuff. For anyone with Asolo boots, you know that toe scuffing on rock/scree is a problem. My boots are black, and the scuffed area turns rough and grey, then draws in water when hiking in the snow on a mild weather day. Although using a hair dryer and destroying a rag to rub this stuff in is a bit of work, it turned by boots shiny new black, literally beautiful. Next day on Rainier the snow seemed to be repelled from them like magic (no more sticking to the scuffed parts).
I love this product and first used it on the entire boot when they were one year old. Now I reapply it regularly to just the toe area before a hike in the snow. Also good for maintaining the leather. Be sure to completely clean the boots before applying! Discoloration may be an issue - I don't know since mine are black. Even if they weren't I don't think I'd care, just apply it everywhere.
