The Eagle Creek Switchback Max travel pack with removable daypack converts from wheeled luggage to a backpack to meet all your travel needs.

  • Removable daypack has zip front pocket with internal organizer, 2 water bottle pockets, fleece-lined inside pocket and padded back and shoulder straps
  • Stiff, panel-loading main pack features zippered front pocket, internal compression straps and large internal zippered mesh pocket
  • Comfort Zone® suspension system disperses weight evenly for the long haul; system zips away into main pack's backpanel for easy check-in
  • Air mesh backpanel and shoulder straps wick moisture to keep you dry and comfortable

    As an archaeologist, I wanted a bag that could do it all. This is that bag! Eagle creek makes great products and this is one of them. The suitcase has ample room. The detachable backpack has room for all of your day trips, it just lacks a chest strap. Over all I couldn't be happier. That and the warranty makes this bag well worth it.

      We spent 3 weeks traveling Peru with this bag. Main bag holds decent amount of my larger clothing (6'1" / 230lbs). Where bag's zippered compartment where backpack straps are also holds some items, too. Never needed to use the bag's backpack straps - the wheels did a great job on Third World streets, sidewalks, etc. Bag's zippers are strong and compression straps are sturdy - we packed items to the hilt. Daypack is terrific size and is very sturdy as well. Water bottle holders were a nice touch. But, if on bus/train/plane I would wear the daypack instead of keeping it zipped to the main bag. Orange color made it easily identifiable in airports and bus storage compartments.
