      It's difficult to find a thong with an arch and a comfortable, padded sole. Thses are, without a doubt, the best thongs I've ever owned. I'm looking to purchase them again and this time in several colors!

        I've never loved a pair of flips as much as these... Though I bawked at the price when I first picked them up, any doubt melted away as soon as I stood up in them. It was like walking on clouds: the cushy soles and velvety smooth, non-chafing uppers! All shoes should be so comfortable... Being a California girl who wears flips year-round, these lasted 2 seasons before showing their wear. Highly recommended... pamper your feet!

        Last year I bought a pair of OluKai Ohana sandals and adored them. They were easy to break in, comfortable for walking, and well made, except for the ribbon that goes between the toes that frayed and broke after 3 months of wear. I wrote Olukai and they said they would warranty them so I traded them in for the Haiku's. These are not nearly as comfortable; my feet tire walking more than a few blocks and I get hot spots on the bottoms of my feet. The leather was so stiff that I got blisters trying to break in. And finally, I think the bottom of the shoe is poorly designed...2 rubber pads on a leather sole...once the rubber wears out, I'll be down to leather.

        Disappointed because I traded them in and do not want to abuse the REI policy by trading them in again. But not happy with this shoe!

          Thought they looked more like a piece of art than a shoe. They turned out to be like poetry on your feet. Soft and supportive. Richly designed to pamper your sole. When originally started asking about these flip flops. Folks who were wearing this brand just smiled and said they are so comfortable...glad I took their word...and now I am smiling too.
