Comments about Osprey Ariel 75 Pack - Women's:
I bought this pack just after starting the Colorado Trail in 2006, because the pack I started with wasn't working. From the get go, this pack made a significant difference.
I'm short-waisted, with narrow shoulders. The shoulder straps are angled inwards so that they did not fall off my shoulders (like other packs). I especially like how the back of the pack sits away from my back so that I don't feel as warm as I would with other packs.
Hiking has had a positive effect on my waistline. I had to switch out the waistbelt this summer on the PCT to a smaller size. Darn!
Everything can fit in this pack with the exception of some bulky pads. The pad and/or wet tent easily attaches at the base of the pack.
The pack is easy to clean when I come home and ready to go on it's next adventure.

Comments about Osprey Ariel 75 Pack - Women's:
this pack accompanied me to the 'outback' of alaska last summer, where it was worn fully loaded as well as partially loaded for day hikes. i musta tried on 6-7 packs of it's size [...]. this won my heart as the most comfortable to wear, knowing that they don't get that much easier to wear as the miles wear on. great fit for a short muscle-y woman like me. i know i'm carrying weight when it's loaded, but it is so well distributed and comfortable that i can still enjoy the scenary. the only drawback i could find was not being able to access the stretchy side pockets when wearing the pack. i like to keep a water bottle or camera or binocs handy for quick use, and i haven't worked that out with this pack as yet. otherwise, it's a great pack! i especially like the detachable top pocket that doubles as a lumbar pack for short excursions.
