Comments about REI Ti Ware Nonstick Titanium Cookset:
Bought this set to augment an extended car camping trip, but also for possible future backpacking use. The first time I used it on our Primus camping stove, on the lowest possible flame I could set it to w/o it going out, the bottom of the pan started to slightly warp, and got really warm. This caused the food to stick and burned a spot on the non-stick side. That spot lost its non-stick properties permanently. Similar experience w/ a pot while cooking some pasta, and on w/ the second pan while cooking eggs.
While I appreciate the light weight of the set, I definitely think this lack in durability... Usually these two properties are mutually exclusive, just wasn't expecting this to happen so quickly. I used the Primus Atle Stove and Grill for this trip, but am thinking that this set may be more appropriate for exclusive backpacking stove use.
Also found it difficult to handle the large pot full of hot water w/ the built in handles. The flexible plastic insulation on the handle tends to slide a bit and gets pretty hot w/ extended use.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Nonstick Titanium Cookset:
This set is great for a couple because the two lids make great plates. The entire set fits together nicely leaving a good amount of space inside to pack food. There is no wasted space between the inner and outer pot. The handles have plastic coating so be careful not to burn the coating off. The wall thickness is quite thin as with most Ti cooksets.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Nonstick Titanium Cookset:
The first time I used this set was to fry some potatoes in one of the pots. I was being very careful not to overheat the pots, but when I cleaned the pot I noticed burned marks on the bottom. This mark would not wash off, and when I cooked some eggs it got worse. Considering I was scoping this set out for a year before purchasing it, I am dissapointed.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Nonstick Titanium Cookset:
The weight of these pots is amazing. Two large cooking pots and two frying pans, both frying pans double as lids and they are self contained with folding handles. Plus, they weigh NOTHING! I haven't had them long, so I am not sure as to the durability, but they were banged around quite a bit this weekend, and still look great.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Nonstick Titanium Cookset:
The game during breakfast prep is how many pancakes will it take to get the temp and oil just right so the cakes aren't a mess of burned and raw batter! Seriously, we love the light weight and how a group of four can eat a portion out of each of the pieces. Pasta dishes are very easy but try to fry anything doughy or with batter and it is a huge challenge. Recommended with some caveats.

Over several years this set has been banged about on backpacking treks, canyoneering forays, and winter camping excursions.
I cook on an MSR Whisperlite. Yes, the handle plastic melted on one pot, and there has been discoloring on the outside. SO WHAT? They continue to be easy to clean, LIGHT, and durable. No sticking. I am about to purchase another set for my son. Go for it!

Got this to take camping with me due to its light weight and small size. Used it with no problems. Use and Clean up was fairly. Of course it would have been easier had i remember to bring my scrub brush, but that is all on me. I am looking into getting another set or just a larger pot to cook larger things in.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Nonstick Titanium Cookset:
This cook set is great. I have used it on several multi-day backpacking trips and they have worked perfect. They clean up so easily with a minimal amount of water (which was a handy thing when water was scarce). Super light weight which is the reason most people would buy it. For light weight backpacking this set is tops.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Nonstick Titanium Cookset:
Used this once. Food stuck to the bottom and sides of pan. Non stick area is now discolored and you cannot clean it. This is NOT non-stick. Save your money and get something else. It may be worth carrying something a little heavier.

Very Lightweight. But on the expensive side. Would definitely recommend this.
