These are the best shorts I've ever owned. They are very light-weight, and breathable. I went backpacking for a week in them and fell in love with them. I decided to go ahead and wear them white-water rafting, and they dried out faster than all my friends' swimsuits! I would highly recomend them to anyone who backpacks, camps, or does anything in the outdoors.

This is well designed and incredibly well fitting pair of shorts. The material is very light and dries very fast. Sounds from the fabric rubbing against each other was never a noticeable problem (unless you have fat inner thighs, I suppose). Pockets are well constructed so your profile looks slim even if you have placed lots of stuff in the pockets. Though it's not made in Vancouver, BC, it's still top quality. I have the coffee bean color one already (which, by the way, is more like dark pine green) and I plan to get the khaki color one too.

I was pleased when these shorts first arrived - nice light weight, a longer leg, extra pockets without being baggy and bulky. But when I tried them on and walked around a bit, I noticed the "swish, swish" of the fabric rubbing and knew that that sound would annoy the heck out of me on a long hike. (or even a short one) I was looking for something that would be lightweight, breathable, quick drying with a slightly longer leg for hiking, which I did, but I didn't like the hearing them, so I'll be returning them.

The sizing is about a size up. Usually I wear a 34 inch waist, but for these a 32 fits me better.

Great pair of shorts. As perfect as it get for me. I love it for climbing and hiking. The extra length is really nice for climbing. The material is really lightweight and thin that i hardly feel it with a harness on. Only wish the waist is a little bit tighter for me. The materials is tough. It can take a beating though i don't know how it holds up against climbing on granite. I love it and i will buy another color of the same shorts.

These shorts are very lightweight and won't take up much room in a backpack. I thought with the long inseam that these shorts would go just past the knee, but the crotch is pretty high up, so even with a 14 inch inseam, they only reach down to mid-knee or so. I typically wear a 32 inch inseam for pants btw. But they're not "short shorts" like some of the hiking shorts, which means that you can wear them in a non-hiking situation. I was sweating pretty good the other day when I wore them on a 20 mile or so bike and hike and I could tell the sweat was not gonna seep through to the outside and make a visible mark. This is pretty important.
They make a little bit of swooshing, nothing significant.
The pockets are made of the same material as the shorts and there's seemingly no risk of holes forming in the pockets.
For the price though, these shorts better last me at least 5 years.

These ARE shorts of the future.
They do NOT rip.
They do NOT stain (liquid does not soak into them therefore no possibility of a stain)
They do NOT restrict movement.
Seriously, 10 years from now when we're all living in a perfect society like in equilibrium everyone will wear these shorts.
They dry in seconds. I don't even take these shorts off unless I have to change my underwear.

I just completed a thru-hike of the High Sierra Trail. At the end of seven days, I still loved these lightweight comfy shorts. They breathe like a dream, dry in a flash, and hold up to all kinds of abuse. And they look great, even when they've got a week's worth of dirt on them.
They are my first-in-line go-to shorts for hiking any time of the year. Love 'em.

I felt bad about spending [$] on a pair of shorts……until the first time i climb'd in them. These are the most comfortable shorts you will ever wear if you are a rock climber. It felt like they were not even there!!!!!! They have some give and stretch so you can flex any way you need. I love these shorts, and i plan to buy the pant version when it starts to get cool out.
