      Have had these pants for about a year now and have yet to wear them out. The first time wearing them they felt a little stiff but after a few washings they are so comfortable that I wish I could wear them to bed. Over all these have held up to abuse better than most the pants that I bought for hiking. A few weeks ago I took a little spill on a rocky trail. They held up and did more protection to my legs than a normal pair of jeans. Not one little tear in the stitching or fabric. The fit is good for the trails and scrambling and have yet to pinch or bind on me. I plan on picking up a few more of these on my next trip to REI.

        I wear these pants pretty much any time and anywhere. To me they are the perfect outdoor, hiking, camping and everyday comfortable pants. If your looking for good tough material to take on the outdoors you will be more than satisfied. I don't seem to find anything about these pants that aren't great or fall short of an avid adventurers expectations. I could really use a couple more pairs of these. Seriously!

            They seemed to be a bit on the stiff side when I first wore them, but these trousers have broken in nicely. The cross-weave fabric is nicely wind-proof for winter wear, but somehow isn't sweaty. There is lots of room for long underwear, without bunching in the wrong places.
            The left leg pocket could use a lid to keep debris out. I might prefer to have the right front zipper pocket positioned a bit lower, too. I keep a buck blade clipped in the side, and the clip runs over the zipper.
            Overall, delighted and will buy more.

            I purchased these on the recomendation of a friend. I can say they are some of the best pants I have ever made. They extremely comfortable and feel broken in the second you put them on. They are well worth the price....
