    When they say this jacket is lightly lofted, they mean it! It's very well made, fits great, and looks good, but be cautioned- it's only a shell! I was looking for something I could use as a light winter jacket, but was extremely disappointed when I got it as it had very little to no insulation. I went to the Arcteryx website to read more about this jacket and what its uses were, and they claimed it is intended for "Ice Climbing / Nordic/Snowshoeing / Ski Touring". I immediately thought this was the winter jacket for me. This ended up being a very technical jacket that is not warm! Hopefully this review helps to describe the item.

      this is NOT a warm jacket - if you want warm, go with the Arc'teryx Hercules. this is just a shell for aerobic activities in cool weather. of course, it's Arc'teryx, so the high quality justifies the ginormous price tag. you won't be disappointed.
