I used this for the first time recently for a backpacking backcountry trip through Alaska. Temperatures usually were in the mid 30s at night and I can't believe how perfectly warm and comfortable my body was in this bag.

I am a side sleeper so the mummy hood concept really didn't work well for me so I'd make sure I wore a wool hat to keep the exposed part of my head warm.

My zipper only occasionally would get a snag. I'm not too familar with zippers on bags but it would have been nice to be able to zip from the inside and not just the outside of the bag...but that is just a minor recommendation.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    I've taken this bag to northern Maine in May and October with a lot of trips in between, and I've been toasty when temps were in the low 30s. Very comfy.
