Comments about Patagonia Bandha Dress:
I was initially concerned that this dress would be too small for me, as I'm usually an XL in pretty much every brand, and my past experiences with Patagonia have shown that their clothes run on the small side. However, I was pleasantly surprised when this dress arrived. The fabric is a dream - it's formfitting, but doesn't show flaws as much as a lot of the jersey-type dresses do. The wider sleeves balance you out, especially if you're hippy, like me. And this dress makes my hourglass figure rock! I'm planning on taking this to Europe in my backpack over summer, and it seems to withstand being crumpled in a ball pretty well. It also works well as a bathing suit cover up, as the fabric dries really fast. I only wish it was a little shorter - I'm 5'8", and it hits me mid-calf. Just below knee length would be nice. I would imagine on a shorter girl, it would be ankle-length. I do recommend this, though! It's sexy and comfortable!

I tried the dress on when it arrived and was disappointed.
The design and color (I ordered Northern Light) are beautiful and the dress is surely comfortable, but: it is very tight (like a swimsuit fit), and everything you wear underneath shows in lines.
You could wear it without bra as it provides light support, but even so, I would say that this dress is only wearable in regions/countries where "no bra" is accepted.

I bought this dress as a travel dress and it is perfect for that BUT it's soooo comfortable and has such a nice look that I've worn in to work and out to dinner. I could live in this dress.

Definitely ordering another one in a different color. I've dressed this up with fancy accessories, dressed it down for a day of errands, wore it to work (with a camisole for modesty-I'm a teacher), and even worn it for several days of sightseeing and trekking around a big city. The Northern Light Blue is a great color for fair complexions like mine. Super comfortable fabric that never looses it's shape.
The hem hits me about an inch below the knee (I am 5' 11"). If you're struggling with sizing, I would order a size up. I am smaller on top than on bottom and the top fit me snuggly (won't shift to reveal anything) while the bottom left plenty of room for my hips and bum. I love the way it makes my chest look! Sexy in a classy way.

Comments about Patagonia Bandha Dress:
I usually aim for low-cost items, and the price tag on this dress intimidated me. However, I liked how the dress looked on the hanger, and when I put it on...magic. I'm 5'3 with an hour glass figure, and don't like how most dresses look on me. This makes my waist look especially tiny and the rest of me look amazing.
I also LOVE the fabric and I didn't think it would. It really is wicking and while it's got a good weight to it, actually FEELS weightless when you have it on. Austin is in the middle of record temps (60+ days over 100 degrees) and I can use whatever edge I can get! I'm wearing this to 2 outdoor weddings this fall with nice shoes, etc...but I can toss on some flip flops and go run errands in it to. This dress is literally worth every penny.

Comments about Patagonia Bandha Dress:
This is a fabulous, universally flattering style. I agree with the poster who said to order a size up...the bodice is very snug, and while I am usually an XS I exchanged that for an S and have a much better fit.
My only suggestion for improvement is the length...on a petite woman, the dress is quite long, and I will have to take it up. They could make it available in a couple of different hem lengths, as I notice several taller posters love the length as it is.

I have been looking for the perfect "little black dress" for a long time...this is a gem! Very flattering on and can be dressed up or down. Has a great hidden pocket if I don't want to carry a purse.

I've never felt compelled to write a review until now. I LOVE this dress. It's so comfortable and versatile, I wear it every chance I get. It's eloquent and very flattering. I've gotten so many compliments on it, I've lost count.

Comments about Patagonia Bandha Dress:
I was a bit nervous but hopeful about the length, fearing it would hit mid-calf which is bad on me, however it's perfect. I am 5'10" and it hits right at that great spot just below the knee. the fabric is a bit snug, so lines are a concern, but I like the way it feels. I'm planning to take it with to NYC next week. As part of my packing light wardrobe, it'll probably go to the theater and dinners out. It would come sailing too if it were less expensive.
