Comments about Mountain Hardwear Skyledge 2.1 Tent:
this tent is simple, fast to set up and light enough to carry on my own, which is a good thing since it's a bit too small for two people to fit comfortably inside. i got it for me and my partner to use on backpacking trips, which works for us, but there really isn't a centimeter of extra room. if you buy for two people, be prepared to get cozy!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Skyledge 2.1 Tent:
I climb mountains a lot in the cascades and this tent served me very well on the slopes. Also, this tent is ideal for backpacking if you're a minimalist. If you want tent that is right on this is for you.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Skyledge 2.1 Tent:
The Skyledge is a great tent.
I recently decided to get back into backpacking in 2008 and spent a lot of time reviewing and researching lightweight tents. After a considerable amount of time looking and reading, i decided on the Skyledge based on weight, size and features.
This tent is filled with some great features like reflective guys, glow in the dark zipper pulls and carefully thought out stitching and placement. Overall the tent is very durable and stood up to some pretty significant wind gusts on one of my trips--the window on the fly also makes for a nice feature to get a glance of what was going on outside. The tent packs well, and is pretty simple and straight forward to set up after a quick pitch in the living room after I first got it home.
The cons (and they are small) realitive to what you get...again, I love this tent but there were a few things I'd like to see improved. First, the size is pretty small for 2. Fortunately, the dual vestibules are adiquate for all your gear. Second, the doors seem to resemble something like a submarine hatch--but there are two however--allowing for me to easily get up and not disturb my neighbor too much. I'm about 6' so getting in and out is a bit delicate with the bathtub design.
Also, not good or bad, but just odd... the foot print for the this tent seems to resemble parchment paper. It was a bit odd and required a damp rub down to clean as it's white. It's very light weight though.
