I use this helmet for lot of mountain bike and have found it to be very comfortable, I find myself thinking I forgot my helmet because it seems to disappear off my head its so comfortable. I don't know what other reviewers are referring to about problems with adjustment system or durability.

I bought it for the looks - it's a great looking helmet. It was also comfortable for my biggish head. Once I took it home, problems became more obvious. The fit was loosen or over tighten frequently on the back adjustments which are basically cable-ties, sort of like miniature snowboard straps. I would find myself fussing with it while riding because it was always coming loose or tightening up. It seems like adjusting should be a one-handed operation, but to really get it right, I had to stop and take the helmet off. Once it was working, it was very comfortable.

But the back strap snapped in half, which made it impossible to stay fitted. Not having the back strap stabilizing the helmet makes the helmet sort of useless, so I'm shopping for a new helmet and will not get another Fox Flux.

Easy to adjust. Clearly protects back of head. Feels solid. The back buckle stays put, but the under-chin buckle slides eventually (so I have to readjust it every 3-4 rides).

Still and all, best helmet I've had! The "spoiler" doesn't look as dorky as it sounds, and in fact prevents the helmet from rolling around when placed on a flat surface upside-down.

I love the full coverage feel this helmet gives me around the temples and back of my head. It also has a slim profile that unlike several of my other helmets does not make me look like Toad from Mario Brothers. Love the flat finishes, but do yourself a favor and ditch the visor. Sure it makes you look more "aggressive" but limits your visibility. Helmet still looks slick w/o the visor.

As the summer heats up in Austin, I'm waiting to see how well the air vents perform vs the beating sun soaking into the flat black paint. Might end up rattle-caning this to match my bike and give a little sun protection.

Fits well, feels good and keeps ya cool on a hot day. Got two cons though: if you have a bald head you have to wear something on you head or you will get sunburn. And the second, not sure if this is really a con but this helmet is huge. I have a smaller size head, 6 3/4, and with this thing on i am afraid that i will start pulling in satellites. Other than that great helmet.

I have a big pumpkin head and not many helmets fit me comfortably. I researched this helmet and reviews were positive. I went to REI and picked it out and had it rung up. To my surprise, it was on sale. I've gone on a few rides with it and is very snug and comfortable. Great Investment. I've crashed and dented a helmet before. I feel this helmet will do the job if needed.

I bought this helmet after some time trying it on in the store. It looks good and fits my head pretty nicely. Once I took the size and color I wanted home I started taking a closer look at the helmet. so here are my gripes
-Poor Construction:
-unevenly molded foam
-rear strap holder is set into helmet crooked
-visor is not well attached
-Poor Design:
-rear straps get caught in retention device
-rear retention device lacks anything to keep
it form riding up the back of your head
-single continuous strap makes adjustment
difficult
-Side buckles cause the straps to twist
in an uncomfortable manner
I usually like Fox gear and this helmet looked great sitting on my head in the store so I really wanted this helmet to be a good product. Unfortunately, I have to conclude that, especially at this price, the shortcomings of this helmet are unacceptable.
The Flux has too many similarities to much cheaper helmets to be a contender in this price range.
