Comments about Outdoor Research Revel Rain Jacket - Men's:
I use this jacket for my walk to and from work, and for hiking. Unlike other unlined raincoats I've worn, this one does not produce a clammy feeling against my bare arms when it is warm and humid. It also breathes very well. The material is soft and somewhat stretchy, and much quieter than the stiff material found in other rain jackets. The fit is athletic, but with ample room for layering. As others have mentioned, the pit zips which go all the way down to the hem are great.
This jacket also features a great system for stowing the hood. While many rain jackets use a simple velcro tab to hold the rolled up hood, this jacket features a zippered compartment around the outside of the collar that holds the hood. The inside of the collar is also lined with a nice, soft material, making it comfortable when fully zipped up.

Comments about Outdoor Research Revel Rain Jacket - Men's:
This coat replaces the onslaught of coats I had lined up for weekly Washington weather. Not only is it light, and able to be packed away w/o problems. It also breathes beautifully, repels rain w/o regard, and holds its own in any conditions. It has a media pocket which I DEARLY love for riding, skateboarding, snowboarding or anything I require music to get into my flow. The pitzips fully unzip to the waist to create a poncho and the front zips allow a ton of air to wind through. All in all, this coat can coast from a sunny day to a soaking night w/o any second thoughts! I love this coat and recommend it to all!!!

Comments about Outdoor Research Revel Rain Jacket - Men's:
I've been wearing this jacket every day for the last 4 months. It's really light weight, and doesn't have that plastic feel that many other waterproof jackets have. It handles wind and rain well, and I love that the pit zips open all the way to the waist. The hood adjusts well. It does limit some peripheral vision, as all hoods do, but I like that it keeps the rain off my glasses, which many hoods don't. The jacket travels well since it packs down so small. I have a big 3-ply gore tex jacket, but I haven't worn it since I got this. Since I haven't had it that long, I don't know about long-term durability, but having got me through a Seattle winter it's a definite keeper. It reminds me of a high tech version of the wind breakers I used to wear as a kid (only this jacket keeps me dry!)
