Comments about Outdoor Research Reflexa Rain Jacket - Women's:
I purchased this to serve as my protection on a vacation to Hawaii to do lots of hiking on the island I grew up on. The one trail was very overgrown, plants and bushes constantly brushing over me, and this jacket never got marked up or ripped. It was also a rain forest, and the constant dew/humidity/rain was a true test of the jacket's waterproofing. It held up amazingly. So happy with this jacket. The fabric is also very quiet, so unlike other rain jackets, you don't constantly rustle loudly when you move.

Comments about Outdoor Research Reflexa Rain Jacket - Women's:
This jacket has every feature I could've asked for in a lightweight rain jacket and then some. Great jacket at a great price. Smooth functioning two way zippers, adjustable cuffs, soft fabric lining the collar, stowable hood, inside MP3 pocket. The fabric also has a light stretch to it and is softer, more flexible and quieter than many. Unique are the pit zips extending all the way to the hem. This allows easy access under the jacket or touch more room in the hips if needed. Bonus: comes in colors other than pastels.

Comments about Outdoor Research Reflexa Rain Jacket - Women's:
I use this jacket for long walks and hikes when it's raining or threatening to rain, and I plan to use it camping and backpacking. *Love* the pit zips all the way to the hem! This is a fantastic feature for ventilation. I usually wear a size 6/small, but bought this in a medium. The small had a pretty close fit, and I wanted to have extra room for an insulating layer. I also like the longer body & sleeve length that the medium provides. My one minor complaint: there is "rip-and-stick" material at top and bottom of main zipper to close flap over the zipper; I wish there were another spot of this material about mid-way between.

When you live in a place where it rains 55-90 inches every year (it's true!) you want to stay dry. This coat does the job. I was going to but another popular brand, but this coat was on sale and in my size and color. I couldn't pass up the great deal!

Comments about Outdoor Research Reflexa Rain Jacket - Women's:
I'm usually looking to lighten my backpack, but I've yet to find a piece of rain/windgear that's seriously as sexy as this piece!
PROS: I've worn this for many backpacking trips (AK-CA-and the terribly wet WA)and it's always comfortable and never clammy. Isn't noisy or stiff like some other raingear. And frankly, the poncho style is wonderful since it allows some air to flow from underneath while I'm wearing a pack, so I've never overheated in this. Zippers never catch. Used it beach camping too and seals wind out well.
CONS: For my own uses, since I'm veering towards minimalism in my adventures, I find that it has a tad too many features: a stowaway zippered compartment for your hood, a stowaway pocket, an MP3 pocket, etc. If you like that kind of stuff, great! I personally don't need them. Also, there is velcro on the cuffs and main zipper which I find unnecessary and that tend to catch on my other laundry when I wash this jacket with other pieces.
Overall, a darn great jacket that does what it's meant to do.
BTW: I have the Women's Small and it weighs in at 10.7 ounces... not bad.. :)
BTW #2: They also run bigger than advertised. I'm 5'5, 130 lbs and I usually wear a MEDIUM but I find that a SMALL is the perfect fit. My 2 cents.

Comments about Outdoor Research Reflexa Rain Jacket - Women's:
I bought this rain jacket because I wanted a super light jacket to take on long backpacking trips that would also look nice when running errands in town on a rainy day. This jacket is perfect for both! Not only is it flattering and "pretty" (got the purple one) but boy is it durable. I discovered this biking home one drizzly afternoon with a handbag that was way too long. (Ladies- bike with backpacks not hip length bags)
The handbag had a meeting with the spokes on my front wheel and before I knew it I was doing a cartwheel with my head. I sustained 4 chipped teeth, road burn, a laceration to my head, and one on my chin. The rain jacket- despite severe contact with the asphalt- didn't have so much as a scuff mark on it and still repells water like no other.
In summary- if you question its durability, question no more! As an addative to that- love the side zip pocket and hood.

Nice lightweight jacket. Great fit. Love the pockets and the side zip. Easy to store in its own pocket! Oh yeah ..it keeps me dry but breathes enough that I do not feel stifled in humid weather

Comments about Outdoor Research Reflexa Rain Jacket - Women's:
I got this jacket in fuscia/berry xs. It's a great, lightweight, rainproof jacket. I like that it is simple, feminine, and packs well for camping and backpacking. I was surprised when I got the jacket in the mail that the colors are brighter in real life than shown on the website. In the picture, the colors appear more subdued; in actuality the color combo is slightly reminiscent of the 80s, but not too bad.
I also found that the torso length could be slightly longer, and that the front of the jacket is slightly shaped like an inverted V, rather than straight across. (you can see this in the photo)
Other than that, I am happy with the jacket, and do not regret my purchase.

Comments about Outdoor Research Reflexa Rain Jacket - Women's:
My search for a versatile travel / hiking jacket stops with the Reflexa. I'm very happy with the fit and quality (although I haven't tested it in the rain yet). First, I love the material. It's a quiet jacket and is flexible when you move. And, it doesn't feel clammy for an unlined jacket. It fits so well, I forget I have it on which is really what you want when you wear a jacket like this. Second, the hood covers well without obstructing your vision. Third, it's lightweight and portable but doesn't feel cheap. And, there are finishing touches like the velcro closures, ventilation zipper and storm flap that really make this jacket stand out from others. The fit feels true to size. I'm 5.7 /130 lbs with a long torso and the medium fits perfectly. The jacket is form fitting, yet you can wear a lightweight fleece underneath and still have mobility. I bought the turquoise/navy blue color combo and it looks really sporty.
My only recommendation for the company, is to the make the jacket a little roomier in the hips as most women have curves. All in all, I feel this jacket was money well spent and I hope to get a lot of use out of it.
