Comments about MSR Dragontail 2 Tent:
I felt comfortable ordering this without seeing it based on good experience with MSR gear and the hoop design which is well proven. It is advertised as an 'extreme' condition tent.
The tent has a mesh door with no fabric secondary door. The ventilation tunnel along the top has wire rim enforced closures at each end that close with toggles instead of zippers. There is no way I'm going to use this in 'extreme,' cold, wind driven snow conditions. I took it back; I did not test it in the field. If they changed these 2 things I would get one. I talked to MSR and they do invite feedback.
