Comments about MSR Hubba HP Tent:
I field tested 5 different solo and lightweight 2 man tents for monthlong trip last August. This 1 man was as easy as the 2 person. Easy side access. Good ventilation. I'm 6'2" and it was easy to change clothes inside. Big enough. It also feels sturdier than the ones with mesh inner. I carefully chose this tent and it was everything I was looking for.

Comments about MSR Hubba HP Tent:
I got this tent specifically for ultralight solo trips. I am 6'0" and I fit just right, anyone taller than me would have problems. So the tent is cramped, but hey, it's a ultralight solo tent.
The tent was surprisingly sturdy in 60 mph gusty winds of death valley. However, the 2 ventilation windows on top could've been designed to have zippers for closure, w/o sacrificing too much weight. Otherwise in high winds the tent becomes a wind tunnel.

Comments about MSR Hubba HP Tent:
Close, but no cigar.
The HP was designed to ad more protection then the Hubba, but leaving the vents without the ability to zip them during very wind and/or cold nights makes the occupant very exposed.
At the possibility of more condensation and a little more weight then this tent I would like a HP+ that has closable vents.
Just enough room inside for a mat and some gear at one end. Single pole + small vestbule pole makes set up easy.
This tent isn't really good for the summer and its really not good for the winter (vents without zippers). Its only good for non windy early fall.
Too narrow a use for the money.
A Mountain Hardwear Bunker 1 may be a better tent for cold and windy conditions.

Comments about MSR Hubba HP Tent:
My search for the perfect tent is over!!! I've been searching for the perfect tent for some time now and have bought, tested and returned many a tent - but no more. This tent is really light, has enough room for me and my gear, nice vestibule size and most important no condensation problems. With 6 stakes my tent is secure and while there are extra guy-out points I’ve found no need to use them. Everyone at camp kept checking out my tent and was impressed by its roominess. I couldn’t have made a better purchase. Well worth the money!
