Comments about Marmot Helium +15 Sleeping Bag - Long:
I have the older version of this bag from a couple of years back. It's essentially the same but the new bag is nicer. Firstly, the new bag has a nicer liner inside it. It's somehow softer, but that doesn't make much of a difference anyway as I always sleep in thermals. The main thing is the full length zipper in the new model. They've gone from a half length zipper to a full zipper without adding any weight. And the stuff sack is color coded with the bag, which is SO important. YAY MARMOT! :)
Unless you're a dwarf, I recommend the Long model. Not that the regular is super short, but that as a 6' person (like me) it's nice to have a bit of extra length to be able to put socks, clothes, etc, during the night to keep it warm. My wife is 5'8" and has a Long too. Unless you're a super-minimalist, the extra couple of ounces really don't make a difference. Eat more fiber and you'll easily "lose" a couple of ounces to make up for the extra weight.

Comments about Marmot Helium +15 Sleeping Bag - Long:
coming from a 0 degree synthetic sierra designs bag (which only kept me warm down to about 45) I was a little skeptical going to a bag with a lower temp rating. every review I read said the helium would keep me warm to at least 15, and in my experience so far it's true. I haven't been cold yet. most of my camping is at less than 5000 ft during fall/winter months in northern california, so doesn't get much colder than 20F. fit of marmot bags in general is superb to many other brands, especially the REI bags which I felt were just too narrow for my sleeping style & body type. even with 20 percent off the bag was more than 3x the price of my old bag, but it's definitely 3x the bag. it's warm, comfortable and weighs very little.

Comments about Marmot Helium +15 Sleeping Bag - Long:
I purchased several Marmot sleeping bags (4) and (1) Big agnes bag in search for the perfect bag. I am very very picky and not afraid to return items that I'm not 100% happy with. First off let me say I loved all the Marmot bags and hated the Big Agnes. With my first Marmot bag (The Never Summer) it was just to heavy and hot for my type of backpacking. My second bag was a Sawtooth, and it was great, true to it's rating, but just a little heavy with the 600 fill rating. For my third bag I thought I would try a roomy Big Agnes (The Lost Ranger 15 degree bag) and what a mistake that was. Poor quality and not true to it's rating (should be a 40 degree bag). My third bag was a Marmot Pinnacle, this was an awsome and perfect bag, but the lower weight of the Helium caught my eye. Ultimately, I couldn't be happier with anything, the Helium is true to it's rating, stows small and weighs exactly 2 pounds (long version). I've used it many times now in the field and you truly get what you pay for. I would still recommend the other Marmot bags that I've owned and rate them all with 5 stars. [...]

Comments about Marmot Helium +15 Sleeping Bag - Long:
This Helium is amazing. I thought I was being a bit picky and silly going from the Sawtooth, then Pinnacle to this bag. But it is so light, silky comfy inside and out, it just screams quality. It will compress and pack down with ease. The other two bags were excellent, but this is a clear step above the other two. I am 6'2", 215, and have lots of room. Backpackers will love the weight and warmth of this bag. A waterproof compression bag is a good idea.

Comments about Marmot Helium +15 Sleeping Bag - Long:
This is a great bag. I have used it on two winter trips. Lucky me, the first trip temps dropped down to the low 20's with sleet, snow and freezing rain. I slept in a single wall MSR Fling (great tent), but not exactly 4 season. I stayed very warm. The second trip not as cold but did get into the low 40's..... The bag did great. I would definitely purchase this bag again.
