Comments about Marmot Hydrogen +30 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I have owned this bag (in the black version) for years now and have found it to be an excellent option for summer backpacking. I typically just throw it over me like a quilt and only fully zip it when temps drop to around freezing. I've found it to be adequately warm fully zipped with hood at 32 degrees and have been only a little chilled on nights where temps have dropped to the low 20s with a strong wind (inside a tent). The cut is admittedly quite 'athletic' so as I have put on more than a few pounds lately it can seem a bit tight in there when fully zipped. My wife just bought a Mt. Hardware 32 and it has a roomier cut but I think the loft on the Hydrogen is better. It has held up well through the years. I have recently purchased a Helium as a hedge against the weather during fall and spring and definitely during winter. But at 1 lb. 8 oz. and with its small size I will continue to use the Hydrogen when I think the temps will not drop much below freezing.....unless I get even fatter!

Comments about Marmot Hydrogen +30 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I have had a chance to use this bag in below freezing temperatures and was quite warm though I was using a liner. I have yet to need to fully zip the bag up. Like with any bag though a pad is necessary. The weight on this bag is amazing, and the size that it can be shrunk with out a stuff sack is also impressive.

Comments about Marmot Hydrogen +30 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
This bag is warm. Spent a few nights in Desolation Wilderness with lows in the mid to high 30's and was quite warm, even with it unzipped. It was very comfortable and roomy. All this and it packs small and weighs very little.

Comments about Marmot Hydrogen +30 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
This bag is super light and warm. I've used it for several nights so far and slept in it down to the high 30s and have yet to get cold. If you're looking to drop some weight from your pack this is a solid investment for the 3 season backpacker. The nylon material seems very fragile but its held up good so far. Its pricy so keep an eye out for sales and coupons!
