      Good wind resistance, OK in a drizzle, just the right warmth to beat the chill. For its weight, this is the first piece of clothing I wear or pack on any outing. Tapered low on the backside to prevent chills while sitting. Neck cinches from the back and has a comfortable lining. I wear it around town on chilly mornings and have added a insulation layer for comfortable climbing where ease of movement makes it a great light outer layer.

        Loved this jacket as soon as I put it on. It is much warmer then you'd think and the pockets and nice and soft when your hands get chilly. The cut is nice and fitted and it looks good. Recently, I wore it on a rainy day at the local Fair. It kept me dry during several hours of off and on rain. So dry that when I put on my heavier Gor-Tex jacket for the evening, my wife took this one since her jacket had soaked through. I would definitely recommend this and am sure I will get plenty of use out of it.

          Looking for a GP jacket for spring/fall. Thought I needed a softshell, but I stopped looking after I found this. Wore it comfortably in MN, in near freezing light-sleet, as well as along the Mogollon. It's so lightweight, it's my go-to jacket for dayhikes in all but worst weather. Slick, retro-look takes getting used to, though.
