Great ski rack. Had no problem with installation on a Honda Element with factory rack. Pull out feature is very helpful on putting on and taking down the skis that were snug tight fit all the the time. No road noise noted.

LOVE this ski rack. The large open buttons are easy to push with gloves in frigid temperatures. Mounts easily to the top of my 4Runner using the factory installed mounts. The rack is a little tall, leaving about an inch of clearance between the top of the rack and the bottom of my opened garage door. This is probably a consequence of how short my garage.

Service and delivery comments:

When my ski rack arrived, the sliding mechanism for one of the rack arms was broken. To slide the rack back to it's non-extended position and close the rack arm, a wire needs to be guided/pushed to the side by an incoming piece of plastic (plastic cylinder). For me, this piece of plastic was DOA and so I couldn't close up one of my ski rack arms without manually guiding the wire to the side with my finger. Should've used metal instead of plastic, Thule! Thankfully, the vendor (not REI :() sent me out a new set and the new set works fine.

This rack was VERY easy to install on the factory cross bars of a Toyota 4Runner. Took all of 10 minutes.

we use the product for 5 sets of skis. They fit with no problem at all. It was easy to install. We have had no issues with the locking mechanism freezing. I highly reccommend the product

great ski rack. holds four snowboards now problem. only cons for me is the pull out feature. when you have a board so the bindings are facedown on the car or upsidedown my bindings do not clear the factory rails on the car. this makes the pull out or slide out feature uslless. if i could i would return and just get the non slide out and save my self [$] i would. other than that very happy with the product. very storng simple to install. i have had three other types of ski racks in the past and i have to say these are my favorites so far....
