Comments about The North Face Horizon Utility Pants - Women's:
These are great pants! It can be really difficult to find flattering, comfortable, one-piece trekking/hiking pants, and these are tops. My only complaint is that the sizing seems to run a bit small, so you might want to order up a size. Also, I'm a bit concerned that a lighter color might be see-through, because the fabric is so lightweight (I bought black for this reason). All around, though, they're super comfortable and very functional.

Comments about The North Face Horizon Utility Pants - Women's:
These definitely run small, but I can't say I mind because it's the first time REI has carried pants that fit me. I normally wear a size 0 and these fit me perfectly in a size 2. I bought 3 pairs because it's impossible to find hiking pants that fit me. These are thin but not at all see-through. I like the snap button and the drawstring makes them nice and secure. They're quick-drying and light, which makes them great for travel, but comfortable enough to wear around the house and good-looking enough for around town. They look great as capris too.

Comments about The North Face Horizon Utility Pants - Women's:
I took these pants to Costa Rica for hiking. In the high heat and humidity they were fantastic. Very lightweight and packable, they were also very comfortable and cool - and dried fast when I got them wet a few times. They also happen to look very good on, which is a bonus. Plenty of pockets, and the roll-up leg feature is nice.

Comments about The North Face Horizon Utility Pants - Women's:
I love these as capris! I am 5'10 and found them to be too short to use as pants. They are very lightweight and the perfect "throw-on" pants. However, I was a little disappointed because holes started to develop in the back after about 8-9 months of light to average use. Otherwise, a great pant and once I get them fixed, will still be wearing and loving!

Comments about The North Face Horizon Utility Pants - Women's:
Great looking, casual style pants which are excellent for wearing in casual setting. The material is lightweight and excellent quality. I bought both colors and love wearing them. They feel good to the skin and no bulk. Not necessarily a backpacking pant since the pockets are too shallow. This is a great style pant from The North Face.

Comments about The North Face Horizon Utility Pants - Women's:
I was so excited about these pants when I purchased them this summer (2009). The fit felt great and the lightweight material was perfect for spending the winter hiking in Hawaii. Unfortunately, over the past few months, the material has tightened and puckered in the thigh and knee area, creating more tightness and less flexibility.
I've washed and cared for the product as recommended, and each time I wear them now, they seem to get tighter. :-/

Comments about The North Face Horizon Utility Pants - Women's:
I originally ordered the North Face Vertex Stretch Temptation pants online. When I received them, they were not at all flattering as other reviewers had described. I tried the Horizon Utility pants on in the store. I am a curvy but small lady. (36-24-36 and 5'6"). The size 0 fit in the store but were a bit snug for the kind of hiking and climbing I like to do. I went with the size 2 and am very happy. They look cute in the butt, have washed well, and are very lightweight. They dry very quickly so they're excellent for travel. I'm about to order a second pair to take with me on a ten day beach and jungle expedition. There's a built-in pocket on the inside to use as a 'stuff sack' to make the pants pack small. It is going to double nicely as a passport and cash stash pocket. These are comfortable, very practical, and still manage to look good.

Comments about The North Face Horizon Utility Pants - Women's:
Finally, cute and durable pants that can do almost anything. I was surprised to find pants I was so happy with since I'm generally not a huge fan of most pants REI carries (mostly because I am pretty picky about styles and fit while REI is more concerned with functionality, as it should be).
For something so lightweight, they're sturdy - you can take them through some rougher, more technical terrain. I love how they roll up into nothing in your pack! It kind of feels like you're hiking in your most comfy pajamas.
The fit is awesome. I don't really agree with the other reviews; these seem to run true to size. If you're comparing to The Gap sizing (whose sizes run large-I'm a size 0/2 there) then I can see why people think these pants run small. I'm 5'9", 129 lbs, size 4 and ordered the North Face size 4 - regular inseam. The inseam was perfect for me (I am generally a 32/33 inch inseam).

Comments about The North Face Horizon Utility Pants - Women's:
I was looking for a pair of pants that I can wear hiking, but also wear around the house on weekends and these work for both. I really like the material and being able to roll them up into capris- the capris are great. I had read the reviews before I ordered them, so I ordered a size bigger than normal, and they were still a little snug. I would suggest that if you have any questions on size, try them on at the store.
Service and delivery comments:
I received the pants 5 days before the original estimated delivery date. I was very impressed

Comments about The North Face Horizon Utility Pants - Women's:
These pants are awesome. They fit well and are so comfy. I do not like the shorts/pants because they look too masculine. These are more feminine looking. I love that you can make them capris so easily. They are great for hiking and for just lounging.
