Comments about Komperdell Alpine Merino Gloves:
I need a glove for week long wilderness trips where all clothing is exposed to wet conditions. Because my feet and hands have blood circulation problems they get cold easily. And for me---Wet equals Cold. I have returned the gloves three times hoping to get a pair that actually meet the manufacturer's waterproof claim. Waterproof didn't happen. Maybe I don't know what "waterproof" means. It's hard for me to understand how a glove without a seam can leak.

Comments about Komperdell Alpine Merino Gloves:
I've gone through many gloves and find these to be the best all-around cold weather gloves I could find, and I've looked everywhere.
I go camping and ATVing in the snow and all other gloves are either too bulky or not water proof. These Komperdell's have the perfect combination of dexterity, warmth and waterproofness. I wore these in a cold rainstorm all day and they didn't leak.

Comments about Komperdell Alpine Merino Gloves:
Today I soaked these gloves in water, then went jogging. The outer layer stayed wet, but the membrane stopped all water from entering the inner fleece layer. Since I use these as inner gloves, inside larger gloves, I don't expect waterproofness for inner gloves, and the ability to keep the inside fleece layer dry is an improvement over most inner gloves.

Comments about Komperdell Alpine Merino Gloves:
I use these gloves for kayaking with a greenland style paddle in cold water. My hands have never gotten cold while using them so they do the job.
Using a greenland paddle, your hands are always wet and while I would not call these gloves waterproof they are warm and that is what matters.
My hands are wet after a long paddle and the gloves do take a long time to dry out so I got a second pair.

Comments about Komperdell Alpine Merino Gloves:
I have had these gloves for two years. Love them particularly for paddling in below freezing weather. Very comfortable so I use them in summer as well.

Comments about Komperdell Alpine Merino Gloves:
These gloves are easy to wear, but don't offer much insulation. My skin might not get that wet, but the glove saturates easily, further degrading the warmth. I like them, but I'm shopping for something that will be good below 35 F. I mostly use them for hiking and cycling, occasional skiing.
