        The key chain LED light is very bright and very small/light weight. Unfortunately it doesn't last terribly long (but it has dim light options to prolong battery life). Being rechargeable is a great plus. I highly recommend it for everyday life and weekend/long weekend outdoor trips.

          Small and worked great for a month, and given that I will be traveling for an extended period, I appreciated the flexible charging system.
          However, it went dead just 4 weeks into my 6 month research trip in Brazil. I had been keeping it with my keys, so thought that perhaps the button had been depressed while walking around. But it now won't charge (I tried multiple batteries), and I now am without a flashlight.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

          I loved the first light I bought about year ago. Then it would not charge after about 12 charges. So I returned it (to REI) and ordered 2 more. Both were defective and would not take any charge. So I returned them and ordered 2 MORE, [...]. Units #4 & #5 were both defective and would not even offer a dim glow in the package.So 80% of the units I have ordered were DOA, and 20% only lasted about a dozen charges. I mostly used this unit for caving and the reliability of this product is totally unacceptable!

            This keychain light is simply stunning! I've seen plenty of little micro lights in my time but never knew there was something so bright and versatile that existed until a friend gave this to me. My friends will pull out their micro lights or even their mag lights and then I'll blow away their candlepower with this tiny little thing. It's great to have on my keychain as I use it way more often than I expected to.

            The rechargeable aspect is unbeatable. However, I was in Yellowstone and the battery ran down so I set it up to recharge. Exactly as two other reviewers have stated, it finished charging, but then wouldn't turn on. I tried everything and it simply was no longer working. I found the company's website (it's made by Laughing Rabbit LLC) via a Google search and mailed it back to them since their website says they will replace faulty lights. Amazingly, they sent a brand new one in less than a week! Bravo!

            Great until the switch shorted out, got hot when tried to recharge. Loved adjustable brightness, (can be quite bright), glowing switch, rechargeable before it died. No excuse for this to short out, was treated very carefully.

              This is a nice light when it works. I've had the light for 3 months. I recently put the unit on charge,had the LED 'flashes'indicating it was charging. In the morning the light would not work. I checked the voltage on the light and have about 1.5 v showing but it will not turn on. Now it will not take a charge (no lights flashing)even with fresh AA batts. I'm glad it failed at home and not in the field.

                  This little light is insanely bright. The switch is the best that I have encountered on small lights. I got to the point that I never left the house without the thing, even in the daytime. I used it on birding trips in Costa Rica and in the states. I even found it handy when hunting for other things in backpacks. I intend to give several as Christmas presents this year.
