Comments about PacificHealth Labs Accelerade Drink Mix - 30 Serving:
I drink one serving after my +15 mile runs. I used to get severe headaches post-run due to dehydration/low-electrolytes. I was considering quitting running long distances then I found a good review for this stuff online, tried it out and I haven't had a bad headache from running since. In fact, during my last marathon it took me a long time to get back to my apartment and I had the beginning of a de-hydration/low-electrolyte head ache coming on. I quickly drank a glass of this stuff and it went away within 20 minutes. I have tried other post-run drinks like power-ade but this is better by far.
Give it 5-10 minutes to dissolve and be sure to stir it a few different times as the powder clumps a bit.

Comments about PacificHealth Labs Accelerade Drink Mix - 30 Serving:
I've been using Accelerade on my longer bike rides for a couple of years and have been very happy. There's a noticeable difference in energy levels between riding with and without and I suspect the protein has something to do with my prolonged energy levels. Five to six servings of Accelerade are ideal for a typical sub six hour century. As much as I praise the product, there are shortcomings.
1) Taste is personal. Try the various flavors. I can only drink Orange.
2) The mix leaves a slimy residue in my bike bottles and is harder to dissolve fully as compared to other drinks. This is a small price to pay for the better performance.

Comments about PacificHealth Labs Accelerade Drink Mix - 30 Serving:
Started using this last week and felt the difference on my long bike rides immediately. I've cut down on the amount of gatorades I drank in half during the same time, distance and exertion on my rides. So far so good. I like mixing it with half water and gatorade on a 24 oz water bottle.

Comments about PacificHealth Labs Accelerade Drink Mix - 30 Serving:
I initially bought this for use while running and cycling and found it to be upsetting during my long runs (maybe the protein?). However, now I drink 8 oz or so before any workout as a kick start and have brought a 28 oz bottle as a recovery drink to my last 4 marathons (out of convenience) and it works awesome! I like the orange and lemonade flavors w/ caffeine!

Comments about PacificHealth Labs Accelerade Drink Mix - 30 Serving:
Went with the Lemonade flavor based on the reviews here, and all i can say is wow. Wow bad. I dunno if i've tasted something so oddly salty and lemony weird with an indescribable smell. While mixing it up, i thought it was b.o, but it turned out not to be me, but the Accelerade. On the upside, seems to work ok...i'm gonna give the container a good shaking and give it another go. I know these things never taste like kool aid, but ooof, i literally had to hold my nose for the last few gulps. The PowerBar and Gu brand power drinks i've had are much easier to stomach for me personally,

Comments about PacificHealth Labs Accelerade Drink Mix - 30 Serving:
This powder is very fine. The amount advertised on the 2lb cans can vary from what is actually measured. I have purchased this twice and each time didn't have the 30 scoops advertised.
Technically this product is great for running and sustaining during the run as well as post run.

Comments about PacificHealth Labs Accelerade Drink Mix - 30 Serving:
I have tried and reviewed a few of these 4:1 carb to protein drinks. This one is far ahead of the rest. It is easy to drink even after hours and hours of running in the sun. Personally I do not like the Orange but I do really like the Lemonade. In my case I drink it after every training run, 2 hours before a big event, and of course after an event.

Comments about PacificHealth Labs Accelerade Drink Mix - 30 Serving:
This stuff is excellent! I measure that by how far I can go. When I take just water, I run out of steam and can only go about 30-40 miles. With Accelerade, I can double that. In my book, that's significant. An expert friend I know tells me it's the 4-1 Ratio of Carbs to Protein. Whatever it is, it works!
Comments about PacificHealth Labs Accelerade Drink Mix - 30 Serving:
have only tried the lemonade but it was pretty good. im not one for drinks like this when im training though. no substitute for water in my opinion - it just goes down way easier. if you like these types of drinks than this one is a good one.
