The North Face Windwall 1 jacket is designed to block the chill yet remain breathable when a body is active.

Windwall™ fleece fabric cuts 80 to 95% of the wind while still allowing enough airflow to ensure a dry, comfortable fit
Bonded mesh lining whisks moisture away from the body to the outside of the fabric for quick dissipation
Features two zippered hand pockets and a drawcord hem
Wear the Windwall 1 jacket as your outer layer or as a mid layer in the brutal cold

This jacket is the best! I picked up one in the "Guava Green" color because it was on sale and I thought it was a cute jacket. I absolutely fell in love with it. It's extremely comfortable and surprisingly warm and soft. The pockets lay perfectly (I sometimes have trouble with zippers or pockets sticking out at a weird angle). I get compliments on this jacket every single time I wear it, which is all the time! The cut is extremely flattering, my only complaint is that the sleeves are just a teeny bit too long, but really it's no big deal.

I love this jacket so much I ordered a second one in black for when my green one just doesn't match whatever else I'm wearing. It is my new favorite wear-all-the-time jacket!

Love this jacket to layer under a rain shell or wear over a sweater. It's done a great job repelling light rain and light snow. Adds a nice layer of warmth, but truely is only mid-weight for warmth. Took it on it's first week long trip and had some unexpected night time temps just below freezing. It was my outermost layer over 2 long underwear tops and it did a pretty good job considering, but I would bring a heavier weight layer next time.

Sleeves are really long on me (5'5" Medium Size Jacket) and I have to roll them up. Otherwise great fitted cut. Not bulky or square. Zipper has been pulling apart at that bottom so I will be taking it back to exchange for another one.

Bonus is that despite being fleece it isn't a pet hair magnet. Minimal pet hair attraction compared to most fleece. Washes up well without getting large pills.

I really like this North Face product. Living in SD and Los Angeles, this jacket is great for the warm days and cool nights. Also very light weight so good for runs as well. Zippered jacket pockets a great plus and the lengths of the collar makes this jacket fashionable.

This jacket is great. I have two already, bought one more for a friend (who loves it too!). I'd like to get the brown one but should I own 3 of the same? I wear multiple times a week, casual cover around town, to & from work, beach in windy days, camping, and best of all, sailing. Keeps the wind out fantastically. Fit is perfect. I'm usually btwn Md & Lg, but the Lg had more room/ease of fit. Washes and wears well, but would recommend light to no dryer action. Drys super quick, so the dryer gets too hot and the outer texture isn't as soft as new. But no real complaints, and I still dry them on extra low. I tried on the WW2, and the fit was very different, longer, and the hood was awkward. I am actually a hoodie fan, but didn't care for that version much.

I love it! It's perfect on 50 degree days when a coat is too heavy and most other fleeces are too light. I also have the Denali and as a stand alone, I think the windwall is warmer. I think the only improvement is that the seams on the windwall aren't as comfortable as on the Denali. Maybe a very light selective lining would make it more comfy to wear with a T-shirt. It is a fairly generous fit, so it's perfect for layering under.

I have the Denali and it seems a little bulky at times. So I wanted a warm coat without the bulk and this coat was perfect for that. It really does block the chill of the wind!!

I got my girlfriend one of these with a snowboard jacket for X-mas and she absolutely loved it. I was attracted to the durability and comfort people in forums had described- and she always says she is chilly, so a warm fleece was necessary with the jacket. I have to say I was blown away at how nice it is, her sister has one she had borrowed before - find out it is a couple years old, but still looks great (no pilling and has cleaned well). I liked hers so much, I went and bought myself one and am thinking of getting another, best fleece I've ever owned -period.

We had just got a few inches of snow this week and it the wind was pretty fierce. I was running some errands and was pretty chilly. I ran in the house to change into something warmer. This was the first time I put on my new fleece. I instantly got warmer and did not feel the wind hit me like it did before. What a great jacket. Will buy another one. I like it becasue its not as bulky as a Denali but really cuts the wind. You just might want to layer something under it or put a vest over it. Must Buy!!
