    I got this book for christmas and am already planning my summer adventure! The color imagery is incredible - a definite step above most other hiking guidebooks with simply average b/w photographs. This book makes you want to hike every hike that's listed to experience the awesome views firsthand. Contains all the important info: mileage, elevation, difficulty, map recos, etc. The book is divided into three sections; area info, dayhikes, and backpacks. The only shortcomings are that the backpacks section is a bit short, only listing 10-12 trips, and the maps are just for general reference - will definitely need a more accurate map for any of the longer hikes. All in all, a valuable addition to the hiking guide library.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
