After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Contact your nearest REI bike shop for details and an appointment for this important service.

Comments about Novara Metro Bike - 2008:

Bought a Metro is August 2006. I have over 3000 miles on this bike and it still looks like new when it's clean. I ride this bike 5 - 6 days per week. It's comfortable and dependable. I've replaced the chain twice, brakepads once, and rear cassette once. NOT BAD for 3k huh? I weigh over 230 lbs and this bike has taken everything I can dish out and keeps on smiling. This is the best VALUE bike on the market. Could a bike be lighter?...YES, could a bike have better components?...YES. [$] [...]

Comments about Novara Metro Bike - 2008:

I knew I wanted a hybrid bike [...]. I opted for the Metro over the Corsa because it has the smaller tires and gearing. It is a little easier to command the Metro than the Corsa although it won't go as fast without pedaling your legs off. The value for the money in the components is terrific. I do a lot of traveling and don't really do serious mountain biking anymore so this is a great bike for me. I could have spent more, but this thing is incredible from my last bike. I couldn't be happier.

Comments about Novara Metro Bike - 2008:

I got a Novara Corsa for me and my husband was inspired to pick out something for himself. This bike is just his style. It will go anywhere in the local neighborhood, which includes residential streets, fairly smooth dirt horse paths, and the extensive Class I Santa Ana River Trail. He loves the grip shifters! We are not part of the high-speed Lycra shorts gang - neither one of us wants to hunker down over drop handlebars ever again. The upright seating position of his Metro and my Corsa are eminently suitable for a couple of ''easy riders''.
