My wife and I both bought these and love them! The boat is a little heavy to load, but once you are on the water this kayak / canoe hybrid is awesome. It tracks great in wind and rough water (got caught in a storm second time out). It is stable enough for the ocean and it is very maneuverable. It is easy to get in and out of, and has tons of storage space for an overnight trip. Highly recommend it for all these reasons - but get a cart - you will need it!

It is an excellent fishing / camping / paddling boat. It seems to draw less water than a sit on top kayak, but it is not made for white water. It will get you through Class 1 - 3 with comfort, but plan on paddling to shore after the rapid to dump some water. Comfortable seat and will handle a 6' 4" passenger with ease. I don't do salt water but it is perfect for an East Texas river.
