Comments about Marmot Sawtooth +15 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
This is a great bag. I have used it down to right at 15 degrees and I could tell that I could make it to 10 or 5 easily, especially since I always use a liner. It isn't the lightest down bag, or the smallest when compressed, but it has all of the same great features that Marmot gives to its better line, such as the snag free zipper (which they graciously made full length), the perfectly designed hood and opening that don't need a draft collar because they fit so well, and the cut that is perfect for my frame. I consider myself of medium build and the 62" shoulder girth is just perfect. Having the full zipper allows this bag to be used even into the summer unzipped as a quilt. I got the Helium for myself and the Sawtooth for my wife and I end up using the Sawtooth all of the time because it has a full length zipper.
Great all around bag for its category and easy on the wallet. I'd dock it a half star for not coming with a compressions sack.

Comments about Marmot Sawtooth +15 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I've slept in this bag from 5 to 40 degrees, and have always been comfortable. My feet get cold, so I zip up my jacket and slide it over the footbox. In a good compression sack, it packs the size of a cantaloupe. Leaks a few feathers, but doesn't every down item you own? If your tent builds up condensation, stay away from the walls, because the bag will soak it up rather quickly. I've had this bag for 5 years, and don't plan on replacing it anytime soon!

Comments about Marmot Sawtooth +15 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
i bought this bag because it seemed like a good down bag. but most of all, because it was cheap. my first trip with this bag was in to the chugach mountains north of anchorage. now with day time temps in the 20's, i was a little nervous. we set up camp and now the temp. had dropped into the teens. i got into the sawtooth for the first time and right away i was in love. and it was a good thing that this bag was as comfortable as it was because i was going to be in it all night. because of a little stupidity and some financial difficulties all we brought into a winter alaskan mountain range is some cheap summer tent. but, under the circumstances, we were pretty nice and comfortable, untill the wind picked up and eventually took the rain fly with it. we were then left with a 3/4 mesh tent for protection. i just snuggled up in my bag and before i knew it it was morning. well i cannot say enough good things about this bag. so if your looking for an amazing, cheap, dow bag look no further. i put this as a 4-season because if i was close to comfortable in 10 degree F. windy alaskan temps (with no protection but the bag itself). then it should be used as a 4-season bag elsewhere

got this bag not too long ago and used it on a 3 day backpacking trip this past weekend. it started snowing five minutes into our hike and once we had reached our campsite there was already a good amount of snow on the ground. however, i was kept warm and toasty in the sawtooth. use it with a liner to ensure extra comfort and warmth. extremely happy with this bag

Comments about Marmot Sawtooth +15 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I sleep cold and almost always spend my camping nights waking up a lot, shivering. I've had a polyfill 15 degree REI bag and another 15 degree polyfill Kelty bag, and even with a flannel liner I sleep cold in the shoulder seasons. With this bag, I don't even use a liner, and I don't have to bundle up in all my clothes and jackets before bed. Highly recommended.

Comments about Marmot Sawtooth +15 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
Over 35 years of backpacking Montana, my wife and I have used North Face bags almost exclusively. But our last Cat's Meow bags were a disaster -- we froze our butts off in their "20-degree" bag at 45 degrees, and I sadly decided TNF was more interested in gimmicks and geegaws than in providing an honest temp-rated product. That's when I went shopping for other brands, and found the Marmot Sawtooth. My wife and I just got back from our first real outing with our mating Sawtooths, up to Hyalite Basin in the Gallatin Range, and we were thrilled. It wasn't really that cold -- 40, or maybe a little below -- but we were snug and warm, to the point we were just about ready to snuggle in and snooze away the morning until the sun hit the tent. This is an honest bag that appears to deliver exactly what it promises (though admittedly we haven't tried it at the low end of the temp range).

Comments about Marmot Sawtooth +15 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
This bag has performed great for me over the past year. The coldest weather I have had it in is the mid 20's and it kept me plenty warm! I've definitely woken up to a decent amount of condensation/moisture on the bag, or wet spots from rain leaks and the bag has never lost its insulating power in those conditions. Compresses well, even fits in my smaller 40L pack's sleeping bag pocket. I was debating whether to buy this bag or spend the extra money on the pinnacle and I haven't regreted getting this back at all!

Comments about Marmot Sawtooth +15 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I got this bag a few months ago after going on one of my first backpacking trips. I had a blast on my first trip but I only had a regular sleeping bag that was bulky and which I froze my you know what off in. So since I wanted to really get into backpacking I had to get a new bag, and thankfully I found the Sawtooth. It's as light as feather and compresses easily in its stuff bag, which is awsome since I have become a minimalist. The warmth of the bag is outstanding to. Everytime I go camping now I end up overheating in the middle of the night so now i just sleep in my boxers cause the bag is so warm. I live in California and the coldest weather I've been in camping was probaly in the mid 30's so I don't know how the bag would fair in extreme weather, but I'm sure it would do fine. Worst comes to worst I would end up having to actually sleep with some clothes on! One small flaw with the bag is that the zipper sometimes snags if you're not careful, but thats something I can live with. All in all this a great bag and I would recommend it to anyone wanting some bang for their buck.

Comments about Marmot Sawtooth +15 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I have only had this bag one season so I can't attest to its longevity but this is a great bag and quite affordable (of course affordable is a relative term). I couldn't justify the extra $100 for the pinnacle given the slight difference in weight and compressibility. I'm very happy I went with this purchase so far. The bag has kept me warm from mid 20's in Peru but has also been comfortable in the 50's (Although I usually unzip the bag). For the price, weight, warmth and compressibility I would definitely recommend this bag.
