          This is a terrific watch for the price. It's fairly substantial and the clip is tight to no worries about losing it. I ordered it in orange and it is a nice burnt orange color with a very easy to read face. I'm thrilled with the purchase.

          After eyeing my boyfriend's "clip watch" for a long time, I invested in this version by Dakota. There are few clip-on watches out there, and this is a GREAT one. It clips easily on a belt loop, pocket, or handbag strap. It's sturdy, can be dropped without damage, and is worth every penny. I have one I wear to work as a nurse, and it's great having a timepiece clipped to my pocket, not strapped to my wrist.

          The "microlight" is actually a red LED, and works best for a small task like finding a key hole, as it's not a flashlight. The hands glow in the dark, and it's easy to set the watch. There is no date on the face.

          If you don't like having things on your wrist (like me), and are tired of checking your cell phone for the time, try this watch out. You won't be disappointed.

          REI stores offer additional colors (I have pink, and I've seen red and orange, too).

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            I purchased two of these watches (one of my son and one for me) to use while camping and while out on Scouting events. Everything was fine until the batteries died. While trying to have the batteries replaced, I discovered that special tools are required and that the wathces have to be repreasurized to maintain their water resistance; all at a cost that exceeds the price of the watches themselves. It is cheaper to throw the watches out and buy new watches each time the batteries die. [...]

              I thought it would be smaller. I often need a readable watch second hand for my work and it has been great for that. Although it is bigger and heavier than I expected, I am getting accustomed to it and am liking it. I chose silver and I might have chosen another color for contrast.

              I need a timepiece while I'm walking. With all of the bad press that cell phones have gotten lately with EMFs, I don't want to keep it anywhere on me!! The Dakota looks nice and clips onto belt loops or drawstrings on my shorts. I wouldn't be without it.

              I loved this watch. I got it for work, as I needed a watch and hate having things around my wrists. I received many compliments on it. Unfortunately, on more than one occasion, the battery came loose, and the watch stopped. I took it to a local jeweler with the intention of getting a new battery, but she said the battery in there was fully charged. When she put it back together, it started working again, only to stop a few weeks later, presumably for the same reason. Ultimately, I had to return this watch, which is too bad, because I really did like it.
