Comments about Nite Ize 1-Watt LED Upgrade with IQ Switch:

This LED upgrade takes your already great minimag and makes it brighter and makes the batteries last longer. What could be better than that? I'm very happy with it. My only complaint is that once you upgrade the beam is no longer adjustable. If you own a minimag get this...if you don't own one yet just buy the minimag LED version that they have now.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    It gives you a great boost in brightness and battery life, but the lense doesn't fit perfectly so overtightening will keep the light from coming on. Mine lasted over a year before the electronic switch died on me. Great idea but it needs to be done better.

      I found this item on [...] and bought it because I have 3 Maglites and I dont want to just throw them away. I was sorely disappointed with it's performance.The switch seemed to be the main problem. When the unit was the least bit agitated, it would shut off, only to blink back on if shaken and then quickly go off again. The light output is great, but this causes temporary blindness when the unit blinks on and off. I eventually ditched the switch and replaced the original bottom cap. It works sufficiently but still seems to act up and shut off if used for extended amounts of time. I am currently seeking a more reliable light.
