Comments about Arc'Teryx Fission AR Jacket - Women's - '07 Closeout:

I was looking for a way stay warmer at Big Sky this year, as we've had some really cold temps (-25), but I still want to get out and snowboard. I also wanted something for further mountaineering in the future (got WAY too cold on Kilimanjaro last year). I was going to find a down coat and a Gortex shell, but then I found this! It's the perfect combination of waterproof, breathable and insulated. I was hesitant about getting the AC, as it is not as insulated as the SV, but so far it is super warm. The sleeve style is a little different than most other Arc'teryx -- more like a sweatshirt -- not what I expected, but so far I have no complaints about it. The sleeve length seems very slightly short, but I had to get the small as there were no mediums on sale (also the reason I got the AC instead of the SV). The hood is pretty sturdy too, despite being stowable. My only complaint is that it should have one or two more pockets, maybe an inside chest pocket. Overall it accomplishes everything I was going for, especially considering the awesome deal I got on it through REI.
