Comments about Inova XO3 5.8-Watt LED Flashlight:
I have had one of these lights for years. The batteries stay "good" for extended periods of non-use. This is NOT the light you want to take on hour-long hikes. It is overkill, and that's where people would complain about batteries. I use a Princeton Tec IMPACT or a Streamlight 4AA (usually carry both) for long night hikes or exploring. I ALWAYS carry the Inova XO3 clipped to my messenger bag. On a hike, night geocaching, etc., if I need to see FAR and BRIGHT, the XO3 springs to action. Get the batteries in bulk, they have a long shelf-life. But this will use batteries if you use it frequently. I use it only when my other LEDs fall short. Some might prefer just "one" flashlight for their treks. I think this is an undervalued piece of equipment and the weight is worth the peace of mind knowing that I have a light to see the trail, and then a REAL bright/long light to check out those "noises in the distance." With the tailcap switch, you can even "blink" or manually "strobe" it with your thumb should you run into an undesireable in the bad part of town. That disorientation will give you time to run, if possible, or if the inevitable "confrontation" must ensue you will have that moment to arm yourself and defend yourself. All in a all, a great "emergency" light with superior throw and illumination. While camping, you can see high into the tallest of trees, and at a fraction of the size of the huge Mags, it will not be outperformed.

Comments about Inova XO3 5.8-Watt LED Flashlight:
This is a very nice product, beautifully made, will last forever. Nice output, good color of the beam, good projection. Too many rings around the lighting hot spot. CR123 batteries are very pricey.

Comments about Inova XO3 5.8-Watt LED Flashlight:
This is one of the brightest flashlight I have owned. It is easily 2.5 times as bright as my 4 cell 3 watt LED maglite. Also easily out shines my Princetec Apex. This is the only LED flashlight that actual gets warm in your hand from the light. Its battery life is about 4 hours if used the whole time. If you need a q-beam for your hand this is your best bet. Wouldn't recommend working on something close range because its so bright it makes what every your looking at white, like your looking at the sun. All around great flashlight!!!

Comments about Inova XO3 5.8-Watt LED Flashlight:
This flashlight is the best of the best. If you are looking for a very bright flightlight in a small package, this is the one. I use mine daily inspecting aircraft but also use it backpacking, ect. At night this flashlight will outperforme all the rest. the only draw back is that because it puts out so much light, it loves batterys, so look around for rechargeable battarys. there hard to find but they are out there.

Comments about Inova XO3 5.8-Watt LED Flashlight:
The Inova line of flashlights is a great line for powerful flashlights. They use a special battery other than your standard ones. The pierce through the dark, smog, fog, smoke, etc. I own at least four to put in emergency packs, vehicles, and all around usage.
