Comments about Seirus Xtreme All Weather Waterproof Gloves - Women's:
I bought these as a last ditch desperate effort to keep my hands warm on Mt. Hood. I've tried all kinds of combinations of liners and gloves to keep my "previously frost bit" hands warm in perfect ski weather. No avail. Until now... these were so warm that when the weather warmed up and I was really hauling my hands were almost too warm. The finger tips were cool, but not the frozen and painful cold that recurs so often with previously frost bit skin. I couldn't believe it. I skied all day without pain or exasperation, and with no added liners. (At Timberline Lodge, Ore. +6,000ft. and 13F at start and a max of 29F today!) I can only imagine what you could do with these as liners under even larger gloves!!! I kept all the tags thinking if they weren't successful, I'd return them. Nope, I'm keeping the tags now so I can buy another pair as a backup!

Comments about Seirus Xtreme All Weather Waterproof Gloves - Women's:
I'm surprised about the really negative reviews, but agree with the 3-4 star reviews. I get cold very easily and quickly, especially my hands. So anything that involves cold, wet and snow, I scrutinize.
These gloves are definitely not super warm. Yet, they are warmer than a glove with Polartec lining and other gloves that are similar in nature and claims. I find that they have an excellent grip. I prefer the thinnest glove I can possibly use for skiing as most are bulky. These gloves are perfect for early spring skiing (on the West coast!), and nothing colder. Having lived on the both coasts and skied, these are better off used late in the season on the East coast, but useable for most of the West coast season. They repel water fairly well, but I suspect that they would fail in a continuous downpour. If you're building a snow fort or keeping your hands crammed inside snow for some reason, or decide to keep your hands under a running faucet for 20-minutes, these will fail. If you are falling while skiing or find yourself hiking in a light to medium rain, they will work.
The gloves do tend to start fraying a bit over time. I do not believe they are as warm as a 200gm glove, but I also don't think that a 200gm glove is too warm as well, since my hands get cold in those if it's too cold. I wouldn't wear the Seirus Xtreme All Weather in temperatures less than 35°-38°F. I would also make sure that I get them when they're discounted, as they are a bit on the pricey side. However, I would recommend these, depending on the application.
**Just a note: I wonder if the really negative reviewers selected the proper model to post their comments under. Seirus has a few different gloves in their Xtreme line that look similar to one another. I remember trying to buy another pair of these and accidentally picking up a different one.

These gloves were not cheap!! I wore these in the rain yesterday, and they are still soaked through. Were recommended to me by a REI staffer in Portland store. Very disappointed. Don't buy them if you live in the Northwest.

Comments about Seirus Xtreme All Weather Waterproof Gloves - Women's:
While these gloves are more water resistant and are better than MOST of the gloves I have tried, they do NOT measure up to the claims. I have yet to find a truly water proof glove. They do keep your hands dry in the rain for an hour or two, but eventually water seeps in. Even worse the lining ripped, one of the side seams opened and the stitching on the palm pads is poor. Unbelievably, I've had MUCH worse!

Comments about Seirus Xtreme All Weather Waterproof Gloves - Women's:
I was looking for weatherproof lightweight gloves for the Warner skiing days (anything above maybe 15F)... I had used my glove linings for a while but they aren't waterproof at all and aren't durable. Have used these gloves for 2 days sofar a I'm extremely satisfied. They aren't 100% waterproof, but if they were they wouldn't be breathable. I get decent dexterity, to use Chapstick or look at a map, and my frees have stayed plenty warm. The rubber palm grips give me confidence they won't get slices by the edges of my skis. I only wih they had capacitive touch pads so that I could use my iPhone with them on!

Comments about Seirus Xtreme All Weather Waterproof Gloves - Women's:
I was looking for some gloves that were not as bulky as my other ski gloves and purchased these because the REI rep said they were great. They DID fit my hands very well. I went on a snowboarding trip and my fingers were literally numb within an hour. The gloves were not waterproof at all and soaked through. The material also ripped on my first fall. I had some running gloves in my car so I put those in as a liner hoping my fingers would stay a little warmer, but they were soaked within a matter of minutes too. I put the gloves on the heater to dry them out over night and tried it again the next day. I ended up attempting to rent gloves at the ski shop, but they did not rent just gloves. I borrowed my boyfriend's gloves for the rest of the trip. I am returning these tomorrow.

Used these for running. The inner liner bunched-up one or twice. Got so bad I could not get my hand in one of them. Now useless!

These are not waterproof at all. All I use these for are shoveling snow and i have only had them for 2 winters. In the 2nd winter it is no longer waterproof, more like a sponge. Plus it takes forever to dry. [...]

Comments about Seirus Xtreme All Weather Waterproof Gloves - Women's:
I just bought these last month for winter hiking and decided to try them out this morning while shoveling snow. I wasn't outside 10 minutes, in low 30 temps, and wind, never touched the wet snow, and my fingers were painfully horribly cold. They were completely ineffective. I had to get them off and dig up an old pair of hiking gloves - - fingers were thawed and snug in about 3 minutes. These Seirus gloves are going back to the store tomorrow.

I wore these once in 25-30 degree weather and my hands were so cold they hurt. I returned them that night. I expect my hands to at least not be freezing when I'm spending [$] on gloves.
