Comments about Suunto Clipper Compass:
Of course I always use two compasses. However, this one has been so reliable that I'm getting to the point where I rarely bother to take the other one out of my backpack.

Comments about Suunto Clipper Compass:
My Suunto has not developed any bubble even in cold weather after a couple of years of use. It settles more quickly and hardly deflects when tilted from level, as compared to other micro compasses. It has a rotating, ratcheting, calibrated bezel. By far the best micro-compass I have used, on a par with a base-plate compass. A must-have in any survival kit and can actually serve as a general-use compass as well. Very compact.

Comments about Suunto Clipper Compass:
I have tried many built in watch compasses, but clipping this compass to my watch band has been the cheapest, most accurate and easiest to use solution to needing a compass (mtn biking, short hikes) without always needing to plan ahead. Great product.

Comments about Suunto Clipper Compass:
A few years ago before a lot of adventure races started poping up this compass was sold for $4. It's never been worth anymore, but now costs over 3x that. The bearing is off upto 10 degrees, just depends on the one you get. It will meet manditory gear requirements and is a conversation starter, but that is all it's good for.

Comments about Suunto Clipper Compass:
It was off by about 5 degrees. That would have been okay, because I only intended on using it for general bearings, and not orienteering or map making.
Before taking it into the field I put it in the freezer. Several hours later and something must have cracked because a big bubble had formed, rendering the compass entirely useless.
I cannot recommend this compass to anyone who will be depending on it in freezing weather.
Suunto's other wrist compass, BTW, passed the freezing test.
