Comments about DaKine Drafter Hydration Pack - 70 oz. - '06 Closeout:
I used the Da Kine Drafter for the first time on a 4 1/2 hour run. The pack was comfortable and light. It only holds 70 oz of water, so it doesn't weigh much more full than empty. There was plenty of room for gear and snacks inside the pack, with stowable carry straps for a helmet and armor on the outside.
I wore the pack over a synthetic dry fit shirt and did not experience any chafing or discomfort from the straps. The back of the pack has raised channels that allow for airflow between your back and the pack. These channels worked very well, helping me avoid the dreaded stickyback.
I chose the black camo color scheme. It's fairly inconspicuous.
Overall, I'm very pleased. The pack does exactly what it's designed to do and does it well.
